The classic standard room was overall clean and okay. The a/c worked. No english tv channels. Walkable distance to metro station, shops, restaurants etc. Wi-fi was spotty. The bathroom was the tiniest I have ever seen. Very compact! Front desk was hit or miss with tour information. For example, I wanted to visit the Forbidden City. The girls at the...

Located in the middle of a typical Beijing Hutong, Sihe hotel has lovely rooms facing a nice courtyard. Kind staff and charming atmosphere just a walk away from a subway station. A negative remark... the breakfast was very poor.

The rooms have a large bed against the wall, a flat-screen TV with Chinese TV channels, the usual kettle and tea tray, and a very nice bathroom. The breakfast was nothing fancy, but fine. The wifi worked rather well. The only problem for me who had a room facing the street was the noise starting at 5:30 in the morning.

We probably had the best room in the hotel. Spacious. The sitting room looked like a throne room. The whole place was clean and tidy, but could use a little maintenance. Night time was exceptionally quiet. The beds were hard but we were so exhausted at the end of the day so we slept great anyway. Breakfast wasn't super great,...

Great option within 15 minutes walk to Dongsi train station. Not so great breakfast. Make sure they send a car to pick you up from airport specially if this is your very first visit. Hotel offers one way free pick-up. Otherwise, the taxi will drop you off at the entrance of DENGCAO Hutong (main street) & you will have a...

Well if not authentic, then at least pretty. We stayed in October so it was very chilly especially at night, and that's why I didn't give this place the full 5 stars because we were pretty cold. I also didn't think the breakfast was that great (although food isn't a deal-breaker for us when it comes to hotels). Still, this...

I'm glad I'd read on Tripadvisor that this hotel was down an alley as I would have thought I was in the wrong place! It's only a 5 min walk from Dong Si subway. I was a solo female traveller arriving after dark and I was pretty nervous walking down the (quite long) alley the first time, but it actually...

Lovely little hotel hidden in an atmospheric hutong near the centre of Beijing. Despite being in the middle of a city of millions, when walking back to the hotel at night we felt as if we were in a tiny village in the countryside. We asked the hotel to pick us up from the airport which I would recommend as...

Though we had a wonderful time in Beijing, it was quite cold and smoggy so maybe that is part of our impression of the hotel. It's old, as it's supposed to be, but it hasn't been rehabbed much, insulation for example, window sealings. A fresh coat of paint would help. With one exception the staff was disinterested to the point...

This hotel is wonderful if you want to feel that you have experienced historical China. It is not convenient to find. For the first time, make sure you have the phone number of the the hotel so that the taxi driver can get directions from them, some can not find it. The hotel will arrange a pick up at the...
