I stayed here for business and my company booked a conference room for meeting for two days. The room was fine but the shower was pretty weak. Difficult to control the temp of the heat... it was tooooo hot. Lot of choices for breakfast. Pretty good indeed. But the services we had during the lunch in our booked meeting room...

I concur with most of the reviews of this hotel that I read. The location is excellent but the hotel itself needs work. Very close to Wangfujing subway station on line 1 and walking distance to Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City as well as being beside a major (high-end) shopping area. The rooms are not what you would expect for...

During my time in Beijing we visited many tourist attractions. This hotel was perfect for it, with our coach picking us up and not having very long transfers between each place except for when we visited the Great Wall. Prior to this visit I had been sleeping in a tent for over two weeks at the World Scout Jamboree in...

Agree with some of the other reviews. The Beijing Hotel might have been awarded five stars once, but it didn't just rest on those laurels, it died on them. Lobby is OK, and the bar on the right of the entrance might convince you it is worth a stay. Don't do it. Rooms are of a quality that matches an...

Definitely in China. Very stiff bed. Very open but dated design. Is in need of an update. Great location for seeing things in the city. If you do not smoke, be sure to ask for a non-smoking room. Also, struggled with speaking English at the front desk. Struggled with Wi-fi.

rather big hotel, very good location. the hotel is only for foreigners. the rooms are ok but not for the 5 star hotel. In the hotel there is an exchange automat, but the commission is 30-40 yuan. The hotel is in 7 minutes walk from Wangfujing street.

While the property may have a lot of history the service and rooms did not meet expectations. Inside as you walk in the front door was nice, the lobby has a dated, but grand feel. Many conference rooms throughout the hotel lend it to be more business rather than vacationer oriented. Checking in was a bit difficult as the staff...

Well, I must say I agree with some of the other reviewers here, my experience at this hotel was poor, despite a fairly central location the staff were just completely inappropriate and incompetent to say anything good. My husband asked to speak with the manager when one of the staff refused to answer his question regarding the breakfast buffet, and...

Hotel well equipped with pool, gym etc, and very well located by Forbidden City. However for a big international hotel the reception staff were poorly trained. Command of english was poor and customer service skills were poor.

The hotel is over 30 years old. It has the old hotel charm with spacious room. There is a balcony at every room but it is locked for security reason. There is a private club for expensive power dinner. However it is due for renovation. It is within walking distance to Wangfujing and Tiananmen Square.
