At first, if you arrive without booking, they will try to charger double price for the same room, secondly if you don't keep the deposit invoice for your key room they will no return you back your money ($10) even if you giveback the key. The cheapest room looks like a prison you literally can't move, the bed doesn't have...

I find the location interesting. They offer cheap rooms. We spent 4 nights here. Its good thing we were not here for rest. Because we were not so comfortable with the ambiance and cleanliness of the place. But for every budget traveler i could say this is already a good deal.

It is incredible chaotic about the address information of this hostel. Once you booked, you've got the address "Room C1, 2/F, 37 Paterson Street", but if you look on TripAdvisor you will see the address "A3, 10 F, 47 Paterson Street" instead. But I would say none of these addresses was correct. The best way to find the reception of...

This is a hostel, it's not going to be amazing. For Hong Kong, in this location, the price is unbeatable. I paid around 15GBP per night, I booked a 6 bed dorm, but was put in a 4 bed. The hostel is in a great location, 2minute walk to Causeway Bay MRT station, it is like staying on Oxford Street...

Spent 6 days here as part of a south east Asia trip. Taking exit E from causeway bay mtr station and turning left and left again followed by a sort walk takes you to the hostel, which is well located for exploring HK. The hotels main floor is 3 story's up, the receptionists we had where extremely friendly and helpful....

Horrendous! Where do I begin? So, to begin with, they tried to charge me a lot more than their online price. Then they showed me to a few disgusting rooms (had booked 3 bed dorm), where the bed hadn't been remade from the previous checkout or the person had not yet checked out. Finally settled on a slightly nicer 4...

Booked a single room. This was one of the worst backpackers rooms I have ever seen. A poor quality kids mattress base was it and this was wet from the humidity. There was no mattress so you are to sleep on the base. Door would not lock & leaking AC. I walked in then walked out of room to reception...

A cheap and clean stay. Don't expect too much from the hostel as the room is small and cramped. And please remember to bring along essential items. For e.g: towels, soap, toothbrushes and etc. A convenient location, 5 mins walk to Causeway Bay MTR ( subway) and a 20 mins cab ride to Lai Kwai Fong. Interesting bedding because it...

The place was nice enough, probably would have been nicer if we could have opened the windows. We stayed in a four person dorm, very clean albeit a bit on the claustrophobic on stifling side. This dorm was in the corner of a larger, eight person dorm which was rather smelly. Like somebody was hiding cheese somewhere. Might just have...

The setup here is that the building is a high-rise apartment building and rooms have been converted into hostels. The common area is a very small office looks like two apartments that were gutted out so its small. Now since I was a single traveler i had to move between rooms for my weeklong stay here. They were constantly reshuffling...

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
