It's not a top level hotel, but the price-value ratio was good. on the plus: top central location, right near the international finance centre, near the metro good price reasonably clean, I had no issue with that all things in the room seemed working, the room was actually quite nice I got two different newspapers every morning reception friendly and... The hotel is quite hidden, a few taxi drivers could not find the place. The hotel room was not clean, there was a coat of dust in one of the room n made it smell horrible. Our request for change of room was at first refused but finally they change it for us. The hotel charged for storing your luggage,... More

The hotel side was full so they upgraded me to a "suite" on the serviced apartment side, but it was just a mini apartment that had a tiny kitchenette which I had no use for. There was no toiletries so I had to ask for them and although the room was clean, it was not worth $250 a night. Other... More

It could have been better.. 1).. if the staff in the front desk were friendly. We requested for early check-in during booking and also e-mailed them regarding this request. I understand that it is subject to availability. It was a Thursday when we arrived, and yes, the hotel was pretty much unoccupied and available. It was not full. But as... More

Albeit unlavish and basic but very clean, this hotel more than met our needs for our 2-night stay in Hong Kong. Highly convenient location, close to subways and the upscale neighbourhood for wine-ing and dining of Soho, we were pleased. If you're looking for a good price for a place where you will stay merely to sleep and clean up... More

The room of hotel is big and comfortable with reasonable price. It's good location which really nearby metro. This hotel provides free breakfast and afternoon tea which is simple but acceptable. However, the thing I don't like with this hotel is noise from air conditioning.

Located steps from the metro this hotel is clean and very comfortable. Large room and technologically advanced with ports for all your devices. Now the room had no drawers for underwear socks and t shirts and breakfast was quite skimpy. And the bathroom had little or no room next to the sink for toiletries. Given these shortcomings the pluses outweigh... More

This is my second time staying at The Bauhinia. First time was in 2012. The location of the hotel is the best thing about it as it is so convenient to get to places from the hotel. Unfortunately although the room was large it was in need of refurbishment. The carpet was badly stained and the walls needed decoration and... More

Stayed in this hotel with family on a pleasure trip to HK and Macau. Positives: 1) Location, location, location: for the first time visitor, (for the price) it's an absolute gem. really near the Sheung Wan MTR (by near I mean 20-30 feet away) and it's across the HK-Macau Ferry. it's also next to a department store and a lot... Staying in Sheung Wan

Neighbourhood Profile
Sheung Wan
Unlike most of Hong Kong’s other popular districts, Sheung Wan welcomes wanderers with an easy-going, relaxed atmosphere. Art galleries are plentiful and boutique cafés are tucked away in every side street in the sub district known as “PoHo.” Browse through the vintage clothing and handmade leather goods stores – it’s no surprise fashionistas flock to this area. History enthusiasts will be rewarded with sites of beautiful architecture, reflecting Sheung Wan’s past as one of the earliest settlements by British forces. As night falls, the entertainment scene reveals itself to be just as laid back with its private kitchens, speakeasies and underground bars dotted throughout the area. When in Sheung Wan, everyday feels like the weekend.
