We hold bi-monthly dinner meeting at the Kowloon Shangri-la Hotel. We find the food quality really impressive, as it achieves gourmet standard. The chef is first class to that he can make very tasty dishes out of ordinary ingredients. We also find the waiting service excellent, as the staff are polite, and always well mannered, reflecting on the professional training they have received. The parking service is also very good. The cars are readily accessible when we leave which is often late in the evening. The good service makes for a prompt departure home.

We had a wonderful experience at Shangri-La Kowloon.
We were warmly greeted on arrival by the polite and friendly staff.

Our booking was for a Harbour view room, and it was an excellent room with one of the best views of the harbour you could imagine. The standard of cleanliness and decor was 10/10.
Attention to detail was top notch. There was even a pot of hot Chinese tea prepared in a delightful porcelain pot waiting for us in the room. Such a thoughtful touch.

Breakfast and buffet lunch were both excellent too. Choice of food was plentiful as well as high quality. Catering and restaurant staff provided an excellent standard of hospitality. Thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

My wife had a massage in the Health Club. She said it was perfect, very relaxing. The massuese was professional and never used her phone or anything like that through the whole session. The health club staff were also very helpful when I tried to make the booking for my wife and very friendly on arrival.

We would love to stay again in the future.

Traveling overseas is not a good choice during pandemic/ COVID19,so I planned a staycation for my family,& Kowloon Shangri-la offered the best experience among the various hotel I have stayed.
The suite I booked was about 800sq ft,spacious enough for our family of 4.The hotel was opened in 1981 but it is very well maintained with good facilities.
Staff members of the Executive Floor (Vivienne and her colleagues) were friendly and helpful,& their hospitality are highly appreciated.The suite had a magnificent view of the Victoria Harbour,& food/snacks of the cocktail happy hour were really nice (we could well skip dinner after that).
My elder son was unwell on checkout day,& staff were kind enough to allow late check out,so that my son could take a good rest to ease his pain.
I can say Kowloon Shangri-la is one of the best 5-star hotels among the 20+ hotels of the same grade in Hong Kong.

This is my first time stayed at the Shangri-La Hotel in TST of HK with my family for our staycation in end July 2021 and I was very disappointed with its services and arrangement. My family included 3 toddlers did not get our rooms until 6:15pm on Saturday. All we were compensated were drink vouchers (non alcohol only), cokes and late check out arrangement on the next day at 4pm. In fact, we were told by the hotel receptionist to come check in after 3pm that day and understood that room can only be available at 5pm when we got there but then when we returned to the hotel after 5pm, the room schedule once again got postponed till after 6pm. Secondly the hotel services had confirmed me over the phone prior to our check in that they would provide two bed fences since we booked two rooms which they are connected. But only one fence was provided. Then our hotel door cards didn't work and I had to run back to the reception fixing them. And then the flash light in the room does not work properly which is very important during emergency. And then the shower faucet is set too hight and cannot be adjusted the angle and water pressure, if you are not 5"10 or taller. And then the swimming pool is ridiculously small which only allows 5 people at a time during pandemic. The Turkish bath would have been large than this swimming pool literally. And since we booked these two rooms which they are connected, we were told by the receptionist that they would send a hotel staff to open the connected doors between these two rooms but it didn't happen. Seems that this hotel has hard time in remembering what they have promised to provide to their customers. Lastly is the TV channel quality, the cable TV channel quality provided the poorest experience and I feel like the hotel has returned to use analog broadcasting with fuzz and static showing on screen. Our family tried to watch the Tokyo Olympics but just couldn't stand with the poor quality provided, hence changed to Viu TV or other channels.

Overall both hardware and software of the hotel are equally important. The services should be client oriented especially keeping the promise and commitment are necessary in sustaining and standing out the business in HK market.

Enough of the bad, so what are the good ones. Spacious in the rooms we booked when comparing to Disneyland hotels in HK, Ocean Park hotel , HK Gold Coast hotel, and other claiming they are five stars and above. Location friendly which is right in downtown. Non-slippery tiles used in the shower room, not many hotel in HK would have invested in this. One of the best views facing the Victoria Harbor and you won't get tired of seeing and staring at it over and over again.

This is a simply gorgeous hotel. Location is perfect for all your needs. Its a ten minute walk to the ferry to get into hong kong. 30 mins from airport, disney and ocean park. Surrounded by fantastic shopping areas. The staff we encountered were all polite and exceptionally helpful, Billy the concierge went out of the way to help us plan things we wanted to do on our stay here. The star of the horizon club lounge for me was Derek very good service from this young man always polite and attentive. Every single doorman and staff always acknowledged you entering and leaving. Loved the carpet changing in the lift every day, helped us remember which day it was!! Lovely touches all throughout the hotel. Such a lovely relaxing place to stay especially after the hustle and bustle of such a busy city. Many thanks to every member of staff please keep doing what you are doing as it makes such a pleasant stay. The harbour views are phenomenal.

The rooms were larger than we were expecting and the bathroom was outstanding. Transport links are right outside the hotel with two different train lines operating a minute to 5 minutes away that can take you almost anywhere in hong kong, there is also a taxi stand outside if you need one. the iconic victoria harbour is also a 5 minute walk away which also leads to the star ferry terminal if you want to cross to hong kong island and other islands. staff were incredibly friendly and was left flawed by their excellent english. a handy phone that doubles as a portable wifi was complimentary with the room which was invaluable during our stay. cleaning staff left our room in immaculate condition each time. we only had time to try one of the hotels restaurants; cafe kool. the buffet quality was high and the proce very reasonable for the selection of food available, we even came back for dinner during one of the days of chinese new year and could see how popular it is with how busy it was. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and couldnt reccomend it enough to anyone coming to hong kong

Under prohibiting overseas travel now, our family spent a wonderful staycation holiday in Shangri-La Kowloon last week. It was an enjoyable retreat for my family. Our harbour side view booking was upgraded to a harbour full view room which attracted us to dine in with room service every night. The beauty is that room service is covered by the $1000 per night spending credit. I think we will come back in Christmas! During this time, I can enjoy free afternoon tea with the double Golden Circle points at the lobby lounge of the Shangri-La Hong Kong.

Our family had a great 3-night staycation at this property, with the stunning harbour view really helping it feel like a real vacation! Every member of staff made us feel at home and a variety of baby and child amenities were graciously provided to us during our stay. As our package included dining credit, we ordered several dishes off the in-room dining menu and each dish was excellent... and to top it off, though pricey, each dish was easily enough to feed two people.

Strangely enough the in-room dining menu provided in the room is very sparse and not reflective of the actual choices offered, as they will actually send up any dish offered from the menu at Cafe Kool for you (and at the same price as within the restaurant itself).

The hotel rooms do feel a bit dated (especially in comparison to the amazing lobby!) but the spaciousness makes up for this. I thought the oldish TV was of poor resolution when I tried to view some of the channels offered, but actually when we connected our own device via HDMI, the TV was reasonable and seemed to be at the level of at least early 2000s HD. The fuzzy channels seem to be a problem with the signal within the hotel instead.

Booked a hotel at the Kowloon Shangri-La Hotel for my birthday and anniversary celebration with my partner. After I booked the room, I made a phone call to inform the hotel about the purpose of my stay. The staff Mario, who picks up the call, has patiently listened to my request and answered all my questions. A job well done to him!

On my arrival day, to my surprise the room was upgraded to one of the suits, and a late check out was offered for me. The room is marvelous, and we love it a lot. The bed is very comfortable, and the room comes with a very spacious bathroom with a bathtub and a very big shower area. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet a lot.

Overall, the staffs that we encountered are very friendly and polite and gave me a feeling of home sweet home. Keep up the good work Kowloon Shangri-La, will definitely come back again, and recommend this hotel to my friends.

We booked an horizon club room with a harbour view and it was worth every penny. The room on a high floor was spacious, extremely well appointed and with a stunning view. The bed was extremely comfortable and it came with a stunning marble bathroom. Staff throughout our stay were delightful and nothing was too much trouble and great advice enabled us to do everything we wanted. The Horizon Club room was impeccably maintained with excellent service both at breakfast time and in the evening for the canapés and drinks. Both were beautiful quality and with excellent choice. The lounge area was a peaceful oasis to return to after our exploring Kowloon. There is a variety of restaurants and bars all of great quality and choice. This is an extremely well managed hotel with excellent staff at all levels making your stay a wonderful experience. Without doubt now one our favourite hotels and we will definitely be visiting again in the future.

Yes. There are many good restaurants nearby, including several breakfast spots. Also the hotel features a huge breakfast buffet on the 2nd floor everyday. It is huge, with a tremendous selection and not too expensive if I recall. Or it may have been included in our room rate.

A little bit, because the landscape faces the Wanchai Convention and Exhibition Center, so only a part can be seen

Yes, you can. If the health restrictions remain the same, the only thing you CANNOT do is 'dine-in' for a few days until the code is changed to blue. You can still survive by buying take away outside or ordering room service. It is simple. The restrictions may be all lifted on the day, given the current trend,. Good luck.
