Every other year it would be too cold to swim here, but not today. The pool is perfect temperature and the sun is shining. We are lucky today! We come 3 our 4 times a year, the restaurants are great, the service is outstanding and the entire place is beautiful.

I have stayed at this hotel more than 30 times and it never fails to impress, from arrival in the grand lobby to check-in in he club lounge to drinks in the intimate bar to limo ride back to the airport. Rooms are clean, staff are very well trained and the management really cares about each guest. Prior to my...

This review covers two separate experiences at the Grand Hyatt Wan Chai. In December of 2016 my wife and I took a staycation at the Grand Hyatt. A treat for us toward the end of the year. It was also a last minute alternative to the Shatin Regency, which is our usual spot for a weekend break. But it was...

The Grand Hyatt is a great location to explore Hong Kong. Only a 2 min taxi ride to IFC and downtown Hong Kong. Nice pool and gym.The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Rooms are good equipped and in good condition. When the hotel is fully booked, the breakfast room can be very busy and noisy, but that was the...

I've been coming to the GH for many years now and it is first worth noting that it's a good hotel. Good rooms, good facilities & good location. However as a premium 5 star hotel (with prices to match) I feel the service offering is getting tired. There is no question the number of staff rostered on in every department...

The location is excellent, about 45 min away from the airport, right in the center of town, right on the water, so very nice views. Beautiful grand entrance, very nicely appointment rooms, very clean, modern, comfortable bed, black out curtains, lots of closet space....

Staying in Wan Chai / Causeway Bay

Neighbourhood Profile
Wan Chai / Causeway Bay
Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. Beneath the surface there is more than meets the eye – find boutique stores in the above ground floors of buildings and wander into side streets to find interesting restaurants and shops tucked away from the main roads. Wan Chai especially has experienced a modern revival in recent times, with an influx of trendy restaurants and bars around the Star Street area. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.
