We checked in found that twin bad instead of double was given to us. (They didn't ask during check in nor mentioned anything ) Then we called to see double bed is available, he just told us "that's what u booked and all double bed is full" Well. I think it's ok that it's full but the way he answered...

We stayed again at the Garden View in March. I like the location of this hotel a lot. You just walk down to Central. The days you do not want to walk, you can get a cab or the bus that stops just in front. The rooms are clean, with everything that's necessary. The staff is very helpful, smiling. There...

A friend recommended this hotel to me from when he stayed here before, was a good recommendation!! Nice room, very welcoming and accommodating staff? A short walk from Hong Kong botanical gardens and about 20 minutes from Lan Kwai Fong. Will stay here again!

The location of the hotel is a 10 min walk downhill passing through the Botanical Garden from Central (MTR station, Pedder Street entrance). To return one can take the bus or hail a cab which is about 30 HKD from most locations in Central. Rooms are basic but not small like in many hotels in HK; and may have a...

I always make sure any hotel I'm staying in has a decent sized pool and a gym. I travel a lot for work and it's a way of making sure I can stay in good mental and physical health. I always book my hotels through hotels.com because I love the system and will rarely (read never) check the hotel's website...

Just stayed here 3 nights in march, good location, taxis outside day and night, only 30 hkd into city. Hotel is excellent value for money and staff are impeccable especially Anna lee at reception. She will always help with wi-fi and give written destinations in Chinese all with a smile, overall had a great stay and would stay again.

This is a nice, clean hotel located in an unusually green place up a hill behind the concrete jungle and busy parts of central Hong Kong. The views are great, it's only a short 10min stroll downhill to central, but the streets are VERY steep on the way back, so most likely a taxi ride up every time ($25-$30HKD per...

I booked this hotel earlier in the week because I had made an appointment to get my passport renewed. I did not know much about it besides that it seemed to be rated pretty well and it was also close to the US Consulate. The taxi I took was not familiar with the place when I gave him the name...

Most felt inaccessible unless travelled via taxi, but I personally preferred walking through the HK Zoological & Botanical Garden (if weather permits) is the best way down to Central / Soho areas (from Caine Road & Mid-levels escalators, but be warn only go downwards during early mornings 6-10am to be precise). For the famous Peak Tram, just short walk &...

Staying in Central

Neighbourhood Profile
When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The area widely known as Central is the major financial hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open late into the night and there just happens to be a street party every weekend. Although everything seems to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of quiet, hidden gems. Nestled between office towers are wet markets and some of the city’s oldest restaurants dating back to the 1960s. Feeling a bit overwhelmed? Retreat from the crowds by exploring beautifully restored historical buildings and even a green oasis of botanical gardens.
