We stayed here for a month whilst relocating to Hong Kong; a lot of people will be pushed into Central/mid levels as that's seen as the expat natural habitat, but we wanted somewhere a bit more local. Kornhill Apartments (renamed I think from Grand Plaza) are right by Tai Koo MTR, which makes getting into town a breeze. The apartments are clean and modern, with a decent size living room. A secure building on top of the Justco makes getting food etc easy. Pluses include good, free wireless, secure building with 24 hour concierge, cleaning optional, dry cleaners across the road for your laundry, thick walls means that noise is very minimal Drawbacks are no oven for cooking (but that's standard for HK - microwave and hot plates only, and justco can be manicallly busy if you

This hotel is good. It's clean, it's friendly- the breakfast is good. We came before check inn time, but no problem there- the lady in the front desk, just had us moved to another room, and we where in our room just 5 minutes after we arrived. Metro trains will take you to various places and different places across hong kong, and from there you...

I was a little concerned that I had never heard anything about this hotel, but my friends in Hong Kong assured me that it was very nice. Our taxi driver at the airport didn't know how to get there, so I got even more worried. I asked to see our room before I agreed to stay, and the suite was beautiful! Huge rooms, very comfortable. Much nicer than I expected, much nicer than the two other big name hotels I stayed at on previous visits to Hong Kong! The hotel sits over the subway station, you can literally take the elevator to it. No wonder the cabby didn't know about it, the subway station is ultra convenient. This is where I will stay for my next foreseeable visits to Hong Kong.

We stayed at the Grand Plaza with some trepidation, seems like things we read were not great. But we were quite surprised, while it is indeed modern, it was extremely convenient, and nice and quiet. We were all there for a family reunion, so we needed different kinds of rooms- the suites were great for larger families, and meeting up. While there were fewer hotel amenties, they did have free Internet (which is GREAT). THey are very near a large grocery and department store, as well as connected to a large shopping mall, which had surprisingly good restaurants. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are very helpful. Also connected to the MTR, which is the cleanest subway system we had ever seen, and we have seen a lot.
