Wan Chai and Causeway Bay are the retail centres of Hong Kong Island. Filled with shops, malls and restaurants, both areas are bustling with people – tourists and locals alike. Causeway Bay has one of the highest rents on the planet, and is a bit more polished and modern than its Wan Chai counterpart. In addition, both areas contain many of Hong Kong’s iconic tourist attractions worthy of your visit.

We were four girls in a family room. The space was a bit tight but the beds were comfortable. Two girls shared a double bed each. When we visited there were many families with children, so I think it would an appropriate location for your family too. The train station is in walking distance, there is also a shopping mall in walking distance, about 10-15mins, that you could go for meals too. For our trip, we found the location convenient for all we wanted to do and see. The hotel can call you a cab if you prefer that way of traveling too.

The Dorsett has a shuttle pick up and drop off at the IFC Building. What you can do is take the Airport Express train from the airport to Hong Kong Station (IFC Building) and then catch the shuttle from there. They have the shuttle schedule on their website.
As for breakfast - make sure where breakfast is being served. If it is at the Dorsett, it should be fine. If it is at a restaurant near the hotel, then that breakfast is not that good. That restaurant breakfast is a noodle soup, toast, "omelet" and coffee or tea.
