So my uncle put me up in this microtel, which is really, really small. You have a bed and a shower and a toilet and a sink, and that's it. You don't even have a closet; you just have the floor in front of the front door. This is no place for a family to stay. Heck, it's not big...

If you're looking for a clean and value for money hostel, Hotel Conext is a good choice. The rooms are small as expected in Hong Kong, but the room is clean and they provide towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush that you can use. The hostel is very near shops, restaurants, money changer, convenience stores, McDonalds, etc! Very great location, even...

Not easy to find on day 1 (hint, you need to walk through the open hallway in the building to find the elevators), but the location is awesome -- just feet from the Jordan MTR station, right in the heart of New Territories. Felt safe and quiet for its location. The room was modest and small, with barely enough room...

With my husband stayed there a few weeks ago, escaping from other hotel, the building is like other of the kind (guest house). The receptionist speaks a good english and helped us a lot. The room is a box, it has space for a bed and like 20 cm for walking around, it has a thin wall as well and...

The only good thing it's the hotel situation, close to everything. The room it's like a matches box you barely fit two suitcases on the floor. It's just a bed and a shower, towels change every three days the same with the cleaning.

It's not pretty - but there are several good reasons why a budget-conscious traveller should consider this. It's at the junction of Nathan Road and Jordan Road, an important intersection for getting around. Close to the metro ( Jordan Station) and a minute away from the A22 bus stop which takes you to the airport in 30mins for 39HK dollars....

Just don't do it. This place is hard to find, even when you find the floor. It really is just a bed boxed in by 3 walls a shower and toilet. No where to put ANY of your things no safe, no coffee or tea and worst of all NO WINDOW.

It's like a bed space, really small if you have big luggage no space for it, no cabinets to put your things, no security boxes, the tv hang on a slant direction so it's really hard to watch. You can hear the sounds and voices in the other room and corridor and it's really annoying when your still sleeping! And...

Staying in Jordan / Yau Ma Tei

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordan / Yau Ma Tei
The Jordan and Yau Ma Tei neighbourhood is where you will find some of the more authentic areas of Hong Kong. Not as glamourous or busy as its neighbours Mong Kok to the north or Tsim Sha Tsui to the south, Yau Ma Tei is often mistakenly overlooked by visitors on their trips to Hong Kong. Exploring parts of this area makes you feel like you’ve been transported back in time. A large part of the neighbourhood draws from the rich history of Temple Street, stretching from Jordan to Yau Ma Tei, where a mix of dai pai dongs (outdoor restaurants), market stalls, fortune tellers and old karaoke bars bring out the history and culture of the area. The neighbourhood is a showcase of diversity – different ethnicities, cultures, and a mix of old and new.
