I've been here with my friend and stayed for 2 nights at the 8-girls room. I think the room is clean and comfortable, there is a bathroom inside. The room is cleaned everyday. Maybe the only minus about the room is there is no window that faces direct sunlight, so it's a little bit humid inside the room. The room...

Among the three hostels we stayed in in Shanghai, Nanjing and Beijing, Fuzimiao is by far our favorite. Might be a little off in location in relation to public transport but at least it is next to the famous Confucius Temple Area where you can shop, dine and/or take the boat tour around Nanjing. Some might complain that it is...

The hostel has a lovely atmosphere and a cozy common sitting area under the canopy of foliage and facing the creek. The staff is capable and friendly. Unfortunately, these are not enough to recommend a stay here. The location is not great. Fuzimiao is a generic tourism and shopping promenade devoid of any character or history. Everything is new or...

Brilliant location, right next to the Confucius Temple area of Nanjing. I would recommend taking a taxi there, as the walk to the nearest subway station is fairly long (at least with luggage) and busy. The room was adequate - it had a comfortable (if somewhat hard) bed and a clean bathroom, but there were some 'cosmetic' issues (bars outside...

I moved to this hostel after a night at the Nanjing Sunflower (consult other reviews of this hostel here, not a recommended one). http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g294220-d1067324-Reviews-Sunflower_Youth_Hostel-Nanjing_Jiangsu.html The location of this youth hostel may have moved since, and this review is based on its new location. The staff are fairly ok, and the owner himself works behind the establishment's bar. Here's where the...

Sadly it is difficult to find a redeaming feature of this hostel. We arrived late to graffiti filled walls and a freezing room with an EXTREMELY hard bed even by Chinese standards, this was compounded by broken heating and window - it was cold, very uncomfortable and a miserable experience. At 7.30 the construction site began work, the pile driving...

Hostel in a central position, however only one girl of the staff speaks english and sometimes it was impossible to get even simple information. The general aspect is quite decayed. The rooms (we booked 2 double with private bathroom) were clean, with air conditioned, quiet. next door there is a very good self service restaurant. For one or two nights...

where to begin... for starters, having *walked out* of both jasmine and sunflower hostels in nanjing (avoid sunflower at all costs especially), i gotta say that fuzimiao is the least of 3 evils. the place is dilapidated and in disrepair, but it is clean-ish and the staff is friendly. located in the annex of a hotel next door, fuzimiao looks...
