Hotel pretty old, but all functioned as required. Except that the room does not come with heater, which I'd think a 3-star hotel should have?? Luckily I brought my sleeping bag. Front desk service not consistent. Some days are friendly, some days they just "don't bother". Buffet breakfast is good with plenty of choices. Good location, along the old streets... More

This hotel is only a short walk from the Tibetan quarter, near lots of important sights as well as restaurants. And that's the most important aspect of a Lhasa hotel, right? Some of the friendly staff speaks some English. The rooms are nicely furnished. Internet works as well as anywhere in China. The bathrooms have an elaborate shower fixture with eight... More

Our tour agency booked this hotel for us to acclimatize for 3 days before heading to Everest Base Camp. The state of the hotel was actually better than expected; I was expecting guest house style. Nonetheless, it was a comfortable stay. I am not sure for all rooms, however, the air-conditioning or fan in my room didn't seem to be... More

Spent 4 nights. They have the hardest bests known to mankind. The rooms have the fanciest and hottest showers i have ever seen in a 3 star hotel. There was no heating in late October when i was there so undressing was only done just before the shower or going to bed. The covers did manage to warm you up... More

Stay here twice during my trip 8 days tour in Tibet (During my trip was travel to Shingatse and Base Camp). Location wise I think is quite convenient which is located on the main road Beijing East road, same road with Potala Palace. You may easily take bus to reach Potala Palace by bus said about 10mins and walk back... More

The Qinghai-Tibet railway, that high altitude train, is clean & efficient, but some of the locals do not know how to behave when it comes to sharing a compartment, so the combination of noise plus being over 5000 metres takes its toll. So to arrive in Lhasa at a tourist hotel that is 'average' has to have something else. And... More

Stayed in this hotel on 2 occasion, location is centrally located, very popular with tour groups. Room is ok, basic and clean, however there problem with the flushing system that clogging and there is no AC, when checked with reception, they just said the management has purposely switched off the aircon, thus only way to get some ventilation in the... Hotel was modern and comfortable with the exception of the mattresses. You can feel the springs which kept me up all night trying to get comfortable. We change rooms three times. First time the hot water didn't work. Second time the sink had a crack and leaked. They were very quick to get us to another room. So the service... More

The first word that comes to mind about this place is cold, so very cold. Even the staff wear winter clothing inside. I don't know if the people there understand the concept of keeping the place warm. The rooms might be ice cold and the lobby and restaurant most definitely are. Added to that the shower in luxury rooms gave... More

Stayed here for 4 nights. This is a very popular destination with buses / big groups. Have about 6 buses in the parking lot tonight. Very noisy, bring ear plugs. Shower takes a long time to figure out, not straight forward. WIFI hardly worked the 4 days we were here. The worst part is no working AC. As a result... More
