Best bang for the buck when you consider the combination of ambience, location, and helpfulness of staff. It's in the middle of the tourist area of Jogjakarta yet the place is relatively quiet. The only sounds you will hear are the horns of passing trains and thunder of flying airplanes above. They are tolerable. It's close to restaurants, shops, convenience...

Room is cozy altho the amenities such as TV is absent. Very close to nearby shopping attraction (malioboro street) which is only about 5-10 minutes of walking distance. But then again, the close proximity to the train station meant that you will have to bare with listening to the frequent announcement made from the station. Oh ya, not to mention,...

This place won us over with the hospitality. Very friendly staff, drivers, owner. Made us feel appreciated. The garden and rooftop were great features. Rooms were clean and did the job. Location very close to the action, good street food and a few bars in the area.

It's nice to have such a peaceful place in the middle of the busy city center. We walked to every sightseeing spot in the city center. The rooms we're basic and clean. Loved the balconies, to relax after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast also basic, but just what you need to start the day. The people of 1001 Malam we're...

Place is very well located and we found it very clean. We missed nightstands in the room, so you have to leave your things (wallet, mobile, coins, and so on) on the ground. This seems common in Indonesia. Room was too dark in my opinion, we really missed some good light in the room. We were in the first floor....

Had a great stay here! Lovely little garden, helpfull staff and a great location. Rooms were ok, beds have dark sheets so you can't see if it's clean or not;) The rooms on the ground floor are a bit dark, but the terrace comprimises! Did a tour to Borubodur with Tom, he is such a kind and funny man. Had...

Love it here. I stay here every year for a few days. It's located in the heart of Malioboro, close to TransYogya which connects directly with airport and Tugu train station. In the area are many small warungs (restaurants) and other losmen (bed&breakfast). The rooms are well-sized. I just love the green inner courtyard and enjoy sipping at my coffee...
