Stayed 5 nights at the end...rooms are not brand new but they are not expensive and above all, the place is quiet...first time without earplugs in Indonesia! Not far from the centre and so close to prawirotaman street. Patio is so great and relaxful. Decoration is nice. We liked also the small rooster that is so peaceful ! We went...

Located in a quiet neighborhood within the Prawirotaman area. Only within paces away from a small market, convenient stores, cafes, restaurants & travel agencies. The all-white guesthouse compound and the neutral-colored furnishings make it feel airy and relaxing. Rooms are basic. The highlight is to hang out on the wide veranda by the leafy front yard. Curl up with a...

This is my second stance at this guesthouse, this timeI spent 6 days, and I only have good words, the staff is really friendly and helpful, thanks Conrad for the help you provided us to go to candi Sukuh and Cetho and to take a taxi to the airport. And the place is really nice and quiet, ideal to read...

We booked a triple room for two nights over the phone. We arrived quite late at night and they were waiting for us. The room was clean, basic but a bit tight for the people. The house and the garden were a peaceful retreat after a day of sightseeing. Breakfast was included in the price which was great but the...

Atik was the perfect guide, she spoke good English and took us just where we wanted to go. Food was included and lunch exceent. We are two mature ladies visiting family in Jakarta, so to do this 11hr tour from 4am we were pleased with the whole trip. The following morning Atik took us to visit more historical places before...

Didn't stay in this hostel, but I've booked a trip to the Borobudur temple at Kaleidoscope. This organisation is from the same owner, Atik, as the hostel. The tour was great, but I could not find the organisation on tripadvisor. It was not just a standard tour to the tempel and back, but the tour takes you also to local...

Rumah Eyang has a beautiful garden and very nice owners. The room in which we stayed was dirty and the bathroom smells. There are plenty of mosquitos and no way of closing the vents through which they were comin in. The room windows face the inside of the house. We think you can find better deals at comparable prices.

Although the garden is beautiful and the hosts are friendly and really helpful the rooms are not taken care of at all. Bed was terrible to sleep in because the mattress was heavily overused. Dirty bed sheets and pillows. The whole room is full of dampness and you can easily spot mold on the wall, but worst of all is...

I totally agree with the previous commenter although this place for me is more about the nice owners - a Javanese writer and her Dutch partner, a former pilot. We enjoyed talking to them and visited a nice restaurant recommended by the couple. The great shady garden terrace and patio were our hideaways from the extreme October heat and chaos...
