Mango Tree Dipudjo Homestay actual ratings: 3.5/5 Duration of stay: 7D6N from 5th Jan - 11th Jan 2017 Location: The homestay is located within a quiet neighbourhood. Our airport transfer ride didn't go all the way in. Nevertheless, once you get used to the area, it is actually quite accessible and you will appreciate the coziness of the street after...

I booked this place through airbnb. The place was located <5min walk from the downtown area. The host was quite helpful to plan our future trip and arranged pickup and drop to airport. Nice place to have a good morning java coffee under the shed of mango tree.

A complete relief when we found this gem. Me and my bf took rickshaw to reach the place. You could hardly find it unless with locals help. It's quiet and clean. Most importantly, it's really clean including the air as the homestay hidden far from Main Street. We only stay for a night as my initial plan was to spend...

I stayed here for one night. Room rates is cheap, i stayed in the shared room because their private room is fully booked. We arrved at around 10 pm. Check in process went smoothly. But when we checked to the bed, it is dusty. Therefore we have to clean it ourselves. Air conditioner working pretty well, wifi working well. Will...

Unlike the hotels at the crowded streets around Malioboro, the homestay is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Yogyakarta but is still conveniently located. Hidden from the noisy streets through a narrow road, it is perfect for us to recover from day long activities and exploring. The hosts have been more than generous throughout our stay. We were...

Best place to escape from the city traffic. A little away from the main streets (15minutes walk from Maliaboro). I found good food cheaper near the home stay. Relaxing home kind of a feeling, breakfast in the morning and coffee tea and some porridge all day long for free. Clean rooms and dorms, clean toilets and showers with hot water....

We had a great stay in Mango Tree. Room was nice and clean and price was good (small breakfast included) The staff was very friendly and helped us greatly when we couldn't fix a way to get to Bali (since all the trains/flights were fully booked). Offers a lot of excursions from the hostel (including pick-up). We would definitely go...

We stayed for 3 nights while in Yogya and Mango Tree was very friendly, and the staff very helpful. Nice little area to sit outside and have a drink. Close to walk to restaurants, perhaps 10 minutes. Calm area. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a simple place to stay while in Yogya.

I'd recommend this homestay to anyone who wants to experience the real Indonesia. It's true that the home is a bit hard to find with all the small streets but I think that's part of the experience (besides, everyone from the neighbourhood knows where it is and is very very eager to help you out). The people from Mango Tree...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Mangotree Dipudjo Homestay gives you the perfect blend of local home experience while your are home away in Yogyakarta. Conveniently shielded from the noise of the bustling city while standing at the heart of Yogyakarta, we are quietly tucked in a serene old neighbourhood of Pujokusuman heritage district that hosts the Prince Pujokusuman Heritage Palace. It is just a few minutes walk north of Prawirotaman area and fifteen minutes away from the Keraton Yogyakarta Palace and Malioboro area. As our name reflects, our home features a tall Mango Tree which gives plenty of shades from the tropical sun and kindly bears Mangos in abundance twice a year. When in season, our staying guests are most welcome to sample our sweet and refreshing Mangos. ... more   less

“I loved my room which was in a different structure (but still steps away) from the building which had the reception/check in desk and lounge area where breakfast was. I just liked having the sound of the pond's water flowing outside my window and the privacy as well.”
