While this hotel is still expensive (47 euros per night), it is one of the best non-dorm deals you can find in the city. Location: the location is absolutely excellent, it is in walking distance of a central MRT station, Little India and Arab Quarter. Room: the room is very small and boxy and has no windows, thus smells little...

Wifi was good, except for some disruptions on some days. The place is quite nice, it's just a few mins walk to bugis junction and also quite close to MRT. The bed sheets are thin and also th eblanket but the ac works fine. Shower room a little small and sometimes you can hear people showering on the other side...

I stayed for 2 weeks with my friend in the Haising hotel, and we were both extremely happy! It's such a good location, the staff were very helpful and friendly, and we really liked our room. After travelling around the whole day it was nice to come back to a decent shower, wifi and the beloved aircon! It's a 5-10...

If you think of Singapore with skyrocket property prices, this is a gem centrally located, near Sim Lim Tower, MRT, Little India and few stations from any interesting place in Singapore. It is a budget small hotel, small rooms, very clean and you get what you pay for. Running a/c, hot wate and free wi-fi. I was in a business...

This room looked just like the photos. It was basic but really clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a good location, and its easy to get to by train from the airport, however the walls are paper thin! I could hear the person in the next room brushing their teeth, flushing the toilet, and...

Stayed here on holiday from November 7-10 2013. Good location as it is just a stone's throw away from Bugis MRT, Little India, and a bus stop right across the street from the entrance. Rooms are spartan to say the least, but decently clean. No English cable channels except channel news asia but that really won't matter given that you'll...

Staying in Little India

Neighbourhood Profile
Little India
With a strong local Indian community, this pocket of Singapore can feel like another place and time. Wander past traditional barbershops while local residents in brightly coloured saris patronize retailers from decades past. Peruse streets lined with colourful shops as the aroma of curry tempts you to indulge. Listen to the Bollywood music echoing from storefronts and take in the stalls selling bright flowers, fabrics, and spices. At the 24-hour, four-level Mustafa Shopping Centre, you can shop through the night and find everything from pharmacy and grocery items to Bollywood DVDs and diamond necklaces. Singapore’s Little India offers a colourful, lively taste of the subcontinent and is well worth the visit.
