Had everything a mid tier hotel would have. Rooms are small but nicely decorated with Peranakan art works and motives. Nearby to many eating places and walking distance to the beach and shopping malls. Ok for short stays
The room is small and cramped, but it is air-conditioned, with clean sheets and an adequate fire-escape and all that one needs for a good sleep. Breakfast is supplied. It is an excellent, inexpensive room, on East Coast Road.
Not a fantastic experience. It is over price for a budget. Booked via agoda. Excellent location though. It is the cheapest and nearest to East Coast Beach. Good food restaurants nearby to the location. Room is way too small and average service.
The price is reasonable, but not well maintained, in terms of cleanliness. They have what you need, but that can be improved. Other than that, location is good. There are good restaurants and it's very quiet at night.
Thank Maiko I

The Joo Chiat area is the traditional home of Peranakan culture in Singapore, an ethnic group descending from the blending of Chinese and Malay families in the 15th century. The neighbourhood is packed with colourful shops, local characters, and quiet charm. The main streets overflow with diners enjoying katong laksa, the signature Peranakan spicy noodle soup. Signs of youthful entrepreneurship are
visible as well, with modern cafes, bars, and shops abounding. Visit Joo Chiat to take a break from the big city sights and enjoy a relaxing afternoon with a laid-back and local vibe.
