I've stayed at the Amber Hotel for business many times over the past five years. It's not a flashy hotel by any means, however it is cheap and clean, plus it's close to good food and shopping. If you are looking for a fancy reception and opulent decorations, better go elsewhere. If on the other hand you are looking for... More

Like another reviewer below, am a local and my house was undergoing renovations. Amber hotel is a 5 mins walk from my place and I decided to camp there for some parts of the day (for about 4 weeks). I have stayed in many properties around the world..including the ultra luxurious ones..but not many places have lived up to the... More

The hotel is a very pleasant surprise. Located about 20 minutes from the airport, a small structure amidst highrise building, it is pleasantly well maintained. Rooms are good in terms of size and maintenance. The staff is extremely helpful and warm. They took very good care. Value for money.

I am a local and my house was going through renovations. I thought it was better if I could live somewhere cleaner for the time being. I went to search for the cheapest hotel just for a night. Amber Hotel is located very near East Coast Park (ECP) and is just a 20mins walk away; just one of the few... More

The price was low and affordable. The hotel is surrounded by tall condominiums and looked a little old. It is just 10 to 15 mins walk from Parkway Parade and 20 mins walk to East Coast Park. The room was acceptable in sense of its size and was relatively clean. Thw staffs were helpful to assist me in quite a... More

cheap but clean and nice hotel. Stayed there for nearly 10 hrs during my transit . You don't get all the facilities in luxury hotel but would be a better choice while in transit at Singapore if you are looking for a cheap place. I would not recommend this for a family as rooms are not spacious. Staff is friendly... More

All that we wanted was a cheap clean hotel for one night and this is exactly what we got. We stayed in the Family Room with 2 queen beds for SGD 190. It was perfect, plenty of space for 4 adults. Close to public transport and a shopping centre and the taxis drive past all the time so no problems... More

The hotel room was spacious and clean. The reception lady was very helpful and nice. No lift but they are willing to help carry your luggage upstairs. The location will not be too convenient for those who dont have own transport but it was quiet and peaceful at night. Lots of nice food available nearby , laksa and nasi lemak at... More

If you looking to have a comfortable room to stay and not looking anything fancy this is a good hotel in the East Coast/Katong area. If you want to spend the day in the hotel then this is not the hotel for you. It is easy to get to as you can take bus #36 from Airport and it drops... More

“i got the rooms facing roadside, if you dont mind this hotel try to get room at lower floor and facing the other side. not the main road. no lift!!! my suggestion for extra 50 a night , u can get a more centralised hotel and better condition. and if you dont mind for 100 you can get more modern hotel at less preferable location anyway this location is not really that good anyway.”
