Knowing Singapore hotels, Amrise hotel's price is cheaper. located at red light district. but really doesn't care. good 5-8mins walk to Aljunied stn. nearby convenience store and grocery. the room has basic amenities. aircon is not very cool, but its fine. stayed 4nights with my nephew, we enjoyed fast wifi. staff is accomodating.

This hotel is cheap compared to other hotels in Singapore. It's near the bus stop and MRT station. I just hope they have elevator and this hotel needs improvement and renovation. They need to change their amenities too.

Room quite small for 2 persons with 2 luggages. staffs are very friendly. I will definitely to come back! Not far from the airport (sMRT) not far from the heart of Singapore. Safe, shop near by the hotel. Can walk around easy to go everywhere by sMRT

I lived in the hotel during 1/21-1/25, the room is not very big but good enough for me to stay for 5 days without much problem. It may be a problem if your luggage is large. The price for the room I stayed is much cheaper than other hotels my other friends stayed before. It is directly adjacent to a...

I booked here before arriving in SG as it was cheap. The neighborhood had lots of access to 24 hour street food. But, this place is right next to some clubs, the music went all night, you could not control the AC, and the walls between rooms were paper thin. I planned to stay a week and left the next...

Not really a picky person so didn't mind the windowless, noisy, smoke-smelling room with mould on the ceiling and filthy walls. After all it was just a place to rest my weary head before catching a flight. Wouldn't recommend to people who reel at the above. When I woke up my PJ's smelt like cigarette smoke and I don't smoke....

...you have to come and experience it to truly feel what it is. Checked out after 5 minutes, gf suffers from asthma and the rooms where dirty and falling apart from mold. Got "upgraded" to a room with a window, better but still very moldy. Bedlinen had no cover on it, spider webs everywhere, all the small things that are...

Great stay. Room was clean and comfortable enough. Staff were very nice and helpful. Worth the money. Near many local food stores. Only few walks to public transportation. I already stayed here for twice. Highly recommended if you come to Singapore.

Staying in Geylang

Neighbourhood Profile
Only a short journey from Singapore’s sparkling and polished city centre, Geylang is a world away. Here in one of the least touristy areas of Singapore, visitors are privy to an unfiltered glimpse of Singapore life. On Sunday afternoons, migrant workers gather in Geylang to let off steam after a tough week. At the eastern end of Geylang Road, families and friends happily enjoy picnics. By contrast, at the western end, a more colourful side of Singapore can be seen, as street workers mingle with Sunday revelers in outdoor coffee shops. Take a friend, grab a beer and a local meal (frog porridge, perhaps?), and settle in to enjoy the show.
