Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This hotel is unique inspite of having only 41 rooms . It’s uniqueness lies in the exquisite interior design and more importantly the hospitality . the team makes sure that the smallest detail is taken care of. Mr Dayan and Ms Vanessa and Ms Riya really took care of us and made sure that we stay in this property ever time we visit Singapore .

From check in till check out, staff was very helpful, smiling and calling me by my name which makes a significant difference. Special thanks to Riya who, at front desk, did a very warm welcome and goodbye. They will see me again.

The ambience is special. An extensive whiskey list. Fabulous being able to sit in comfort and listen to an extraordinary 3 piece jazz band. There is a dress code which we followed , just a shame the wait staff didn’t. I would have like to see them all dressed the same. Also it would be better to pour our whiskeys from the bottle at the table.

This hotel is unique. And a lot of the problem I have with it is its uniqueness. Check in took forever. It’s behind the golden rhino if you can’t figure it out. Staff is a mixed bag. Some of them are fairly rude. Some of them are sickeningly sweet in their obsequiousness (some are both). Some of them (like in the restaurant) are helpful and friendly. The room I was upgraded to overlooked a shared astroturfed outdoor space with plenty of tables. Looking at that view you’d think you were in an American motel 6. The lounge (which was not really explained as part of the elaborate check in procedure) is just the restaurant. Only once I asked was I shown a menu and given the opportunity to order (beware - you’re limited to two items for breakfast, so pick wisely!) On the positive side, the architecture and design of the hotel is really nice. It’s really clean and pretty easy to get to downtown Singapore.

You can say it is a hotel or you can say it is a club, has many drinks on level 1 , and has live music at night on level 1, can have a drink and enjoy the vibe there. Nice location, not far from the bay garden and Clarke quay. The receptionist here are very nice

Funky but comfortable boutique hotel located in Little India, which is a nice area for walking but still convenient to everything . Very fun decor in public areas, and rooms were cozy but comfortable and functional. Service was excellent, with good complementary breakfast for Platinum. No room service but a 24 hr noodle shop half a block away.

This hotel is way overpriced and not 5 star. We expected a much higher standard for the price. The decor is great and everything is spotless. The front desk staff are friendly and helpful. The jazz band on some nights is very good. However our room was cramped and dark even with all the lights on. There is no window in the small bedroom hence no natural light. There’s nowhere to place your cases (you can only just walk beside the bed) other than than one small foldout rack. We only had 2 cabin bags and it was difficult to put them anywhere and still move around (we used the floor near the desk and stepped over them). No drawers. We booked a club courtyard room. The small courtyard is a shabby 2nd floor landing covered in fake grass shared with several rooms. No view other than a grotty building. The windows of other rooms face the courtyard and can see straight into your room and vise versa. You end up closing the few windows off for privacy making a dark room even darker! The restaurant is the nicest part of the hotel. Club food and drinks are table service which is fine except the limited Indian style menu did not change and most staff are slow to serve. Breakfast was poor. A limited menu selection and we had to return cold egg breakfasts 3 out of 4 days. The location is not great (shabby with few good restaurants) and the MRT is several blocks away. We consider it poor value and not worthy of the expensive price (other than for the decor). Sent from my iPhon

The food was OK. Portion size was good. Food came very quickly. Lavendaer lemonade was good. The brownie though was not so good. It was bitter and tasted a lot of the artificial sweetener. Mr Melvin though was very helpful and attentive. He gave me very good service and advice.
