Falkland Islands Holidays booked us for 2 nights here at the end of our week stay in order to go visit Volunteer Point and have a chance at souvenirs. The rooms here are quite small, but very comfortable, clean, and easy to manage the temperature to your comfort between the excellent radiator heating or the opening of your windows. Linens were nice, plenty of hot water in the shower, and the toiletries here were the best we've ever come across..and so nice to have soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion!

This is an excellent location in Stanley, right across from the museum (which was closed the whole time we were here...we arrived on boxing day) and down the street from everything. They were very friendly and helpful, showing you locations on a printed map for whatever you were looking for. We went down the street to the only open sandwich shop next to the grocery for a sandwich lunch, which was ok...but dinner and breakfast here at the hotel were excellent!

A group of us went to have a meal, a few and spend the night to break up the monotony of work. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly, more than helpful and couldn’t do enough for us.

While we were in the restaurant the waitress we had, Therasa, was exceptional! The service we received from her was absolutely second to none. Accommodating us with our orders, always topping up drinks before we had the chance to and checking up on us regularly. Throughout the whole evening she was brilliant.

The food we had was delicious and exceeded our expectations. None of us had any complaints whatsoever, apart from the odd bit of food envy and we all left very full.

On to the bar afterwards and the general atmosphere was reallynice and relaxed. The hotel and its facilities are clearly well looked after and the rooms were fantastic value for money.

I would stay here again, in a heartbeat!! I would highly recommend staying over to anyone having thoughts. A big thank you for what was an amazing evening.

It's important to put this review in context - yes, you will have to pay for WiFi; yes, you will get a more limited selection of TV channels...but you're on an island in the South Atlantic, have some perspective. That being considered, Malvina House is still one of the best hotels I've been in. Praise firstly to the assistant manager, Karin, whose enthusiasm for the guests is so infectious, and the hotel was certainly lucky to snap her up! Secondly, there's something quite wonderful about having a cinema in your hotel. Yes, it's for the whole community and just happens to be there, but there is something quite cosy about dropping in to see a new film (complete with a popcorn & treats stand) and then pop back upstairs to your room. The restaurant serves excellent food, and the bar is a very comforting place to chill out. A service for packed lunches is available, which is a terrific bonus when you're out the next day on an island tour. The rooms are comfortable - not the Ritz, but again have some perspective. Only thing I would highlight is making sure you budget for the fact you have to pay for Wifi (as you have to do pretty much anywhere on the island), but unless you're an Internet addict it won't be a massive hit. Already planning a new trip to the Falklands in 2025 and not a doubt I will be staying here again.

I decided to stay at this hotel for my three night stay in Stanley.

The location is good while the hotel internet is not. If you need to get any work done you must buy a local SIM card and tether on the cellphone network.

The return transportation to the airport as utter disgrace. I wanted private transfer as there is no need to leave at 9AM for 2PM flight when the drive takes 50 minutes.

The front desk lady from the Philippines lied that the taxis would not take there. They do for 80 GBP if available. Had I known this I would have booked directly with the taxi on the arrival day as they don't like to work with this hotel.

The fire alarm was broken on my floor per the photo.

The hotel doesn't care about the privacy of it's guests but have all this room, name and departure and tour information taped to the front desk. I spoke with the manager who didn't see this as a privacy violation.

I hope that there will be better hotel options in Stanley.

I stayed here for nearly 3 weeks recently & it was a lovely place to stay. The 1st 5 days was in isolation and the staff were very prompt in bringing food & drinks to your room. Once out of isolation the menus in the restaurant were full of good variety. The food was excellent, staff were very friendly & helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

I’m staying at the Malvina House Hotel for five days (I hope it’s only five days, but subject to test and release) of Covid-19 quarantine, which is still (currently) required for travel to the Falklands. The room that I’m in is fantastic with lots of space, a modern/contemporary style, a lovely bed and a fantastic sea view from my window. So far I’ve seen a seal close to the shore. The food that’s delivered to the room is fantastic, which is a relief because I can’t leave the room and go elsewhere! The staff have been exceptionally welcoming and nothing is too much trouble when I’ve asked for help. Thank you so much for making it such a pleasant stay!

This is my tenth stay at MHH and each time I go, the welcome gets better. The rooms are extremely comfortable, the food is amazing and the staff are so friendly. Nothing is ever a problem to them. Looking forward to returning again very soon.
The hotel staff are very knowledgeable and go out of their way to advise you of local tours, facilities and anything else you wish to know about the wonderful Falklands Islands.
If you’re a tourist, use it as a base to explore the islands further and make contact with Falkland Island Holidays who have extensive knowledge on arranging access to the more remote locations.
In the restaurant, be sure to try the chilli salt squid for a starter and the toothfish, steak and any of the Asian main courses. The head chef will cook the Asian dishes with spice to suit your taste. For dessert, you must try the baked Alaska which is the best I’ve ever tried.
The South American wines on the wine list are a wonderful compliment to the food.

We stayed for three nights on our arrival in Stanley. We found the room in the Paddocks comfortable and of Travelodge standard. Comfortable bed, good shower and well maintained. Breakfast on the first morning was not so hot though. Juices: orange and apple fine. The cooked breakfast at 7am was cold and the ubiquitous red berries still frozen. We didn't try the ham and sliced cheese.. Coffee and tea self made but no tea pots. The next morning it was a lot better, but general impression was that there was no thinking behind the menu.
We joined some friends in the bar on Friday night and it was busy with a good atmosphere. We sampled the Falkland Beerworks draught beer, which was excellent and our friends had a pizza which looked delicious. We had decided to eat out. However, on Saturday night, sadly, all the draught Falklands beer was off and there were no bottles We ordered a "Meat Feast" pizza which had little meat on it and no pepperoni. It was however drowned in barbecue sauce. We complained to the waitress, who said "Perhaps they had run out" I can only say that our stomachs were upset for several days and a month on, we haven't wanted to try another pizza. As we weren't planning to return there, we didn't take it any further.

3 week stay in October 2023. My room overlooked the harbour with beautiful views of sunrise and sunset, as well as bird life and the occasional seal.
Very clean and comfortable room. The full English breakfast is huge. You won’t need to eat for the rest of the day. Carl and his team are very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay.
