A group of us went to have a meal, a few and spend the night to break up the monotony of work. From the moment we arrived the staff were friendly, more than helpful and couldn’t do enough for us. While we were in the restaurant the waitress we had, Therasa, was exceptional! The service we received from her was absolutely second to none. Accommodating us with our orders, always topping up drinks before we had the chance to and checking up on us regularly. Throughout the whole evening she was brilliant. The food we had was delicious and exceeded our expectations. None of us had any complaints whatsoever, apart from the odd bit of food envy and we all left very full. On to the bar afterwards and the general atmosphere was reallynice and relaxed. The hotel and its facilities are clearly well looked after and the rooms were fantastic value for money. I would stay here again, in a heartbeat!! I would highly recommend staying over to anyone having thoughts. A big thank you for what was an amazing evening.…
I decided to stay at this hotel for my three night stay in Stanley. The location is good while the hotel internet is not. If you need to get any work done you must buy a local SIM card and tether on the cellphone network. The return transportation to the airport as utter disgrace. I wanted private transfer as there is no need to leave at 9AM for 2PM flight when the drive takes 50 minutes. The front desk lady from the Philippines lied that the taxis would not take there. They do for 80 GBP if available. Had I known this I would have booked directly with the taxi on the arrival day as they don't like to work with this hotel. The fire alarm was broken on my floor per the photo. The hotel doesn't care about the privacy of it's guests but have all this room, name and departure and tour information taped to the front desk. I spoke with the manager who didn't see this as a privacy violation. I hope that there will be better hotel options in Stanley. …
Though there is little to compete with it in Stanley, Malvina does a good job. Rooms comfortable, warm and modern, with many in a new building about 3 yrs old. Good shower in bathroom. Clean and well kept. Staff all friendly and helpful. Only slight weakness with rooms is poor sound insulation to corridor, though there were no noisy guests when I was here
Falkland Islands Holidays booked us for 2 nights here at the end of our week stay in order to go visit Volunteer Point and have a chance at souvenirs. The rooms here are quite small, but very comfortable, clean, and easy to manage the temperature to your comfort between the excellent radiator heating or the opening of your windows. Linens were nice, plenty of hot water in the shower, and the toiletries here were the best we've ever come across..and so nice to have soap, shampoo, conditioner, and lotion! This is an excellent location in Stanley, right across from the museum (which was closed the whole time we were here...we arrived on boxing day) and down the street from everything. They were very friendly and helpful, showing you locations on a printed map for whatever you were looking for. We went down the street to the only open sandwich shop next to the grocery for a sandwich lunch, which was ok...but dinner and breakfast here at the hotel were excellent!…
Malvina house is a great place to stay while in Stanley and exploring the Falkland Islands. I great restaurant with views of the water and an extensive menu. Wifi plans are available for purchase so you have options whether you are staying for a short time or a while. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the hotel even has a cinema, which is such a great experience. The service is friendly and accommodating and always happy to help.
