Detailed Reviews
The team at Casa Bueras go out of their way to ensure you feel that this hotel is your home. And we did ! Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Moises and his colleagues on the front desk provided excellent information and recommendations whilst the team in the the cosy restaurant / dining room were always very helpful and professional. It was a relaxed place for breakfast and afternoon tea ( both included in our room tariff ) and dinner. As well as inside seating, there are tables and a lounge outside, overlooking the pool and garden.
Our suite on the first floor was quiet and well appointed and airy, with high ceilings and a super comfortable bed. The only slightly adverse comment is that the parquet floor, which looked great, squeaked a lot when walking on it. ( though that kind of added to the homey feel !).
The garden and pool area is shady and cool - a very relaxing place to chill and take a break from the hustle and bustle of the city and sightseeing.
We loved the Lastarria Barrio. Opposite the park and only a few blocks to the San Cristóbal funicular, it is a vibrant and interesting area with loads of great cafes and restaurants and whilst a few blocks away from some of the current protest areas, we were not affected and felt safe during our stay.
We would certainly stay at Casa Beuras next time we visit Santiago.

+1
I prefer boutique hotels over big chains, and Casa Bueras did not disappoint. The staff was welcoming and attentive; the room was clean, spacious, and charming; and the breakfast had something for everyone - fruit, cold cuts, yogurt, cereal, eggs cooked to order, toast, pastries, juices, espresso, and tea. The location is outstanding, a five minute walk from all the shops, restaurants, and bars in Lastarria (but still relatively quiet) and no more than a 20-minute walk from almost anywhere we wanted to go in Santiago. Taxis in the neighborhood were plentiful and several metro stations were nearby. Management allowed a late check out on our day of departure for 50% of the daily room rate to accommodate a late flight, which we greatly appreciated.

Our third stay in Santiago (2018, January and February 2024). This was probably our favourite hotel as far as location is concerned, very close to Lastarria and the centre of Santiago. We had a very pleasant stay.
The hotel was a comfortable boutique hotel, staff were friendly and helpful and a wide selection of food was available for breakfast.
The swimming pool/garden area was small but a very peaceful area to relax in.
Bedrooms were reasonably sized and very comfortable.
Some feedback for the hotel, would be nice to have tea/coffee facilities in the room or complimentary tea/coffee in the bar area. The honesty bar was a little confusing, we wanted a glass of red wine and ended up having to buy a bottle.

We were looking forward to staying here but could not due to COVID-19 and our flight being cancelled. I called the hotel multiple times to ask for a refund but due to being within their cancellation window they would only provide a one night refund on a two night stay, which they only responded by email through. I think it is ridiculous to take advantage of people during a situation like this. Still have not gotten a call back 10 days later. Don't stay here.

This boutique hotel is positioned right in the heart of the restuarant area of Santiago.
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff who all speak good English. We stayed for one night on three different occasions as we travelled around Chile and left our excess luggage (including a bike!) with them each time for no charge.
They booked airport taxis for us whatever time our flights were and generally made our life easy. (Including providing a sandwich breakfast for us when we had to leave too early for breakfast). There is no Restuarant in the hotel but numerous varied restuarants within a 5 minutes walk.
The hotel was very security conscious and we felt very safe. Comfortable rooms with good baths which included plugs (we found many hotels didn't).
Honesty bar and lovely area to sit out in a wall garden right in the centre of Santiago.

This is an interesting hotel. If i recall correctly it was a former embassy. The hotel was the bones to be special with some TLC. Our room was on the main floor with a terrace. The Terrace was below grade and needed a good cleaning and better furniture. The room and bathroom were clean but small. We were a little disappointed with the room. The included breakfast was served in a very nice second floor room with outdoor seating. There was a honour bar in the room in the afternoon and evening. We were provided with a nice bottle of Chilean wine in our room. The staff and front desk clerk were extremely helpful and friendly. I would give the hotel a qualified recommendation. Again this hotel could be great with a good refresh. Location was perfect to walk and find restaurants. Santiago is a great city and the hotel location allowed us to explore by walking.

Lovely little boutique hotel with lots of character. Nice breakfast with eggs/bacon cooked to order. Honesty bar when not staffed. Wine not sold by glass - carry a wine stopper for the bottle and save any left over in the room fridge for the next drink. Great location - a few minutes walk to the lovely restaurants of Lastarria as well as walking distance from city centre. Very safe area to stay.

Casa Bueras is conveniently located in the Santiago city center. The front desk staff members were helpful and eager to advise us on restaurants, transportation, sightseeing, etc. Our room was nicely appointed with everything we needed. Breakfast was a nice selection of fruits, cheeses, meats and we could order eggs any style from the cook. There is a beautiful garden with a pool that was an oasis from the city hustle and bustle.

We thoroughly enjoyed out stay at this hotel in February. The excellent location allows you to walk to many historic sites. There are restaurants and a grocery store nearby. The hotel staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast is pre-packaged due to COVID but there is good variety and ample food with great coffee. The breakfast room is quite nice and you can sit outside on the terrace and have your meal.

I loved this hotel! When we checked in there was a bit of a mix up with the rooms and the night manager was having a hard time solving it. He was so nice and patient and insisted we just go to dinner, he would sort it all out when we returned and he did! The location is perfect, walking distance to many wonderful restaurants. Yes, there is graffiti covering the hotel but it is covering all of Santiago at the moment and it can't be helped. There were some protests there on our second day but nothing we couldn't easily avoid. The breakfast was good.
What I enjoyed most was the historic feel of this hotel - it was beautiful and unique!

Dear Sue and Peter,
Thank you for writing us. Our windows are able to be opened but our Single room has a window with an internal view and our Handicap room is on the first floor and it has an small window overlooking to the street.

Dear, thank you for your question. A Van for 2 people costs $150.000- (USD 240 aprox.) and you can post this charge onto your room bill. Best regards!
The hotel can arrange airport transfers. $40 US each way. When we departed they added the $40 US to our hotel bill. All we had to do was tip the driver-- actually tipping is optional. We had a van that was clean and in good condition. The driver was professional. The drivers in Santiago are all pretty good.
We were warned repeatedly about traffic, but we got from the hotel to the airport in 20 Minutes in what would be considered the start of rush hour.
Good afternoon:
All our rooms have hair dryer available for our guests.
Regards
Guillermo C.
Dear Mrs. Janein,
