My room was adequate. A double bed, TV, Cable, bath. Breakfast was included and it was -in my humble opinion- good. The staff was sweet and helpful, but often they did not speak English. This goes for both in the Restaurant and the cleaning. The Reception was though always manned with English speaking personnel.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Almagro, which is well located just three blocks from La Moneda Palace, the seat of Chile’s president. Service and breakfast is still good; the hotel, however, is in need of a make-over. Carpets in the rooms are wrinkled and need to be replaced. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom a...

The hotel is ver Good. Has huge room, confortable beds and a great bathroom. The breakfast is quite simple, but very well served for Chilean hotels service (I say that, because in Brazil, breakfast in hotels is different from others countries, so is not fair doing any comments). Santiago is a beautiful City, and choose Diego de Almagro in downtown...

Not really sure why everyone is hating on this hotel but I was here for about a week and I enjoyed it. They let me be when I wanted to be let be, and they were very attentive when I needed something. Reason to not have 5 stars: Hot water was not reliable. Took a few tepid to cold showers.

Arriving in Santiago was supposed to be a get away with a loved one... yet the plans fell through and no way to change out the trip. So... we made a go of it. A quick taxi ride (in a van $18 Chile dollars) from the airport to the downtown Santiago location. My driver had a good grasp of English...

As part of a South American rail tour, we were booked into this hotel for three nights. It is basically shabby from lobby to the rooms. This very old hotel furnishes its single rooms with a wall suspended head board. it runs the full width of the room and has two night stands attached to it. One the first night...

With due respect, but this hotel is way overrated. Though very central and close to the government palace, the elevators are old, the swimming pool is not such but a puddle. The breakfast place is narrow and uncomfortable and the restaurant meal really poor quality: a bland chicken chapsui, a corvina which is a very delicate fish was just overkilled...
