We had not planned on staying at the Hotel Eco but the situation in Santiago prior to leaving for our trip made staying in the city center not feasible, however this change of plans turned out to be a pleasant surprise . The hotel is about 1/2 hour drive from downtown, but the setting is lovely. It is a quiet area mostly surrounded by homes and mid sized apartments..and lots of trees.
You can easily walk to many restaurants in the are , which we did.
Breakfast is included and was varied and very good, there was a nice outdoor patio attached to the dining room lush with foliage ....Francisco , one of the managers did a great job.
The service at the hotel was top notch and I should mention Pato, Ludwig, and Helida at the front desk.
The hotel did a excellent job of keeping plastic out of the premises which I really appreciated, you could easily fill up your glass water bottle that was provided.
The only tips I would leave would be to have a box of tissues in the room and to provide a robe as there is a charming outdoor pool area with lounge chairs that just begs for a robe.

This place delighted us from the minute we walked through the front door. We arrived very late at night but 3 welcoming receptionists greeted us with huge smiles and had us checked-in in no time at all. The bags disappeared to our rooms and we were handed champagnes and beers. What a great start.
The hotel is definitely "eco" in their philosophy. There were recycle bins on each floor near the lifts so you could get rid of your glass, plastic and paper. What a great idea.
Our room was huge, compared to the last 3 we stayed in, in South America. It was clean, with a lovely big bathroom. The soap and shampoo were all botanical and were lovely to use. The beds were very comfortable.
Breakfast was a treat, especially with the vegan options, which one of us was. This was the only meal we ate here, but it was excellent.
Every staff member we encountered were friendly and helpful. The outdoor areas are relaxing and comfortable.
The interior decoration, knickknacks, plants, flowers and art collages on the walls are charming and give the hotel a real homely feeling. I wish we were able to stay more than the 1 night we did.

We had nearly two weeks here recently in an extended stay in Santiago. It is a very attractive hotel with gorgeous decor. The restaurant was exceptional and it was interesting to note how busy it was most days which was good because there was a sense of liveliness about the place. Lovely clean rooms and a good standard of service all around. The neighbourhood is also very attractive and safe, with plenty of places to walk and explore, with a mall 10 mins away on foot. Recycling bins are in the hallway, no written menus, and they keep plastic at a minimum. I did feel they were genuinely an eco-hotel.

This hotel located in beautiful Vitacura is a $US 2-5 Uber from everything & a lovely walk to restaurants and shopping. Be sure to dine in their beautiful innovative restaurant featuring spectacularly imaginative starters & a super Pisco Sour. Bar is warm and friendly but very popular. Breakfast is among the better with a beautiful array of juices, fruit, breads and eggs made to order. This is a boutique hotel of a lovely size with personalized service and efficiencies. The pool area is not large but was never crowded. I will definitely return

We used this hotel as a base during our three week trip of Chile and Argentina. It is a lovely hotel. Very clean, large and quiet rooms. Staff are very friendly and the bartenders make lovely drinks. Very close to restaurants but the hotel restaurant is excellent. Breakfasts provided a large selection of fruits, breads and eggs if you chose. Would highly recommend this hotel

The Bidasoa is a great hotel, the location is great for shopping and central for visiting Clinica Alemana. I stayed in Rio Bidasoa for 2 months whilst accompanying a family member who was in the clinic so it was not a vacation as such. The family that run and own the hotel are lovely fantastic people ,so a very friendly family run hotel. The Bedrooms and beds are super and very clean. The hotel waitress staff are very friendly and always helpful, in particular Luis was fantastic and very helpful and could speak great English. Like in any hotel the first point of contact is the reception and the reception staff in Bidasoa are lovely friendly people, Helida, Catalina, ludwik and in particular Patricio who i have known for years were excellent and very helpful, always asking if they can help or do anything and always smiling and up for a chat. So thank you all for your kindness during my difficult stay in Santiago you all made it so much better.

What a find! This was our last port of call of a fabulous holiday and it certainly did not disappoint. The hotel is in an upmarket residential area a little out from the centre (maybe a little too far when traffic was very busy). The entrance is set back from the road. The welcome from reception was professional and friendly. The lobby stylish and welcoming. Our room was on the top floor and the view was breathtaking. The bed was very comfortable and the room was elegant with some lovely features. Great care was taken in the design. Breakfast was - to our taste - slightly too eclectic and lacked some basic items such as freshly squeezed orange juice although all manner of other flavours were lined up for attention. There could have been a better selection of fresh fruit and this was completely lacking on the second day but after a few customers mentioned this the charming staff did eventually bring some out. The staff really are lovely but it all seemed to be a bit chaotic in the mornings. Good selection of cake which always seems decadent at breakfast. Cant praise the reception staff highly enough. The manager was particularly good and I am sure the hotel must value him highly. He answered questions, gave advice and sorted problems with a friendly touch. Thank you so very much. We loved it here and would recommend it 100%.

This is an outstanding hotel; made even more so from the fantastic front desk staff. When we had issues with a booked driver who didn’t arrive to take us to the airport they jumped into action; speaking to agency for us in Spanish, booking a cab at the last minute, and even going outside with us to confirm the price of the ride for us in Spanish. Caesar helped arrange a very last minute winery as well.

The hotel room was spotless, large, comfortable, and quiet. The food at the restaurant was outstanding. It’s located in a safe and quiet neighbourhood.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Bidasoa for three nights in March 2023. It was a wonderful experience. We were welcomed warmly, although we arrived early from our international flight. They readied our room quickly for an early entry. Our room was lovely, well appointed, and immaculate. The staff at Reception was always very helpful with arrangements and restaurant recommendations. The hotel restaurant was excellent as well, and is popular with locals as well as guests The neighborhood is very attractive and safe, and we enjoyed walking to Parque Araucano during the day and to restaurants in the evening. We especially enjoyed talking to Mauro one evening, when he was offering a free champagne tasting. He was very friendly and knowledgeable about the city.

We had not planned to stay in this hotel but due to travel restrictions we had to make a detour on our way home and ended up spending two nights here.
The hotel is beautifully designed with a lovely outdoor space in a tropical setting. It was very quiet due to the imminent border closures but despite this the staff were welcoming and cheerful throughout our stay which could not have been easy under the circumstances.
We ate all our meals at the hotel and everything was fresh and tasty. It was scrupulously clean and could not fault anything about our stay. We would definitely return.
