Travellers' Choice 2019 Winner
Luciano K is a boutique hotel with 38 bedrooms, a blend of period and art deco design. On the hotel's ground floor you will find the entrance hall, bar and restaurant. A roof top terrace of 300 square meters acommodates: the spa, sauna, bar, heated swimming pool; and, spectacular views over Parque Forestal and Alameda Avenue. The building is a cultural jewel in the heart of the gastronomic Lastarria neighbourhood of Santiago, originally designed by the arquitect Luciano Kulczewski in the 1920s. At the time, it was the tallest building in Chile, the first with a lift and central heating. The glamour and elegance of the 1920s is showcased in the architecture and design, accompanied by the highest levels of comfort and technology you will find at the best international hotels.

Really love this hotel! From the minute you walk in the door you are struck by the beauty and elegance of this little hotel. The lift, is the oldest in Santiago and makes you gawk in wonder. Our room is large with a huge bathroom. The huge tv has every cable channel you would

Do not recommend- worn down, dirty. Even though this is an architectural jewel it’s not kept up- very sad! Breakfast is very minimal and eggs were cold. Minimal amenities- 1 towel per person. Transportation provided for a fee from airport to hotel is worth the $45. The only

There is no shuttle from the airport to this hotel. We did have the hotel book a cab for us for a set price which was a good idea since we were arriving during a high traffic time. If you are coming off peak hours you could probably just catch a cab. There was a safe in our room. We went to Valparaiso by regular bus that leaves on a schedule. We used Tur Bus and bought our tickets ahead of time. the trip only took about 75 minutes. Bus fare is cheap but it also varies by time of day. We loved Valparaiso and I highly recommend that you spend time there and take a walking tour. It is amazing. I am envious that you get to enjoy the homemade yogurt that Luciano K Hotel serves with their breakfasts! It was divine. Make sure to check out their rooftop bar for a coffee or drinks too. Very helpful staff and a great location near the metro and shopping/restaurants/park. Be sure to have a traditional Chilean sandwich at Fuente Alemana which is located on the street right behind the hotel. They are incredible.

There are buses from Valparaiso to Santiago. Yes Luciano K can arrange airport transfers for about $45 or Uber is good value though they drop you off in the car park to avoid hostile taxi drivers. If you want a private tour City Trekking Tours are great (I found them on Trip Advisor) or there are free talks if you want to go in a group.
