I cannot recommend this place highly enough. Walking up to the lodge ( easy for anyone of moderate fitness) we did not know what to expect. The lodge and cabanas are true works of craftsmanship........absolutely beautiful buildings and the utmost of comfort. Throughout our stay the staff were attentive and so knowledgeable of their surroundings. We stayed for 4 days...

Everything about the service at Santa Lucia was impeccable, from my email communications with Graciela, to our personal guide Mauricio, to the kitchen staff. My children, ages 5 & 7 loved Santa Lucia, especially the rope swing & active hummingbird feeders, as well as pressing sugar can juice to make our own sugar & helping to plant trees. Our accommodations...

My family and I spent 3 days at Santa Lucia. This was without question the most memorable part of our 10 day trip to Ecuador. We made our arrangements through Rodrigo at Maquipucuna Eco Lodge. We were met by Maurizio our guide at Maqui who took us by van to base of Santa Lucia. To get to the lodge one...

My wife and I stayed at Santa Lucia for 3 nights in October. Our time there was absolutely wonderful. This is a one of a kind lodge- no roads reach the lodge and this is part of its magic. A steep 1.5 mile hike up the mountain to the lodge is a great introduction to the environment. The lodge has...

It's easy these days to put eco in the booking information, but this is the real deal. The concept has been crafted by the people to provide all the comfort you really require with a love and respect for this stunning and beautiful place. The guides are expert; the staff are friendly and helpful and the place is stunningly peaceful....

My husband and I stayed at the Santa Lucia Ecolodge for 2 nights - it was the best part of our already excellent trip to Ecuador. I somehow stumbled on this location while searching for an off-the-beaten path lodge in the Ecuadorean Cloud Forest. The 2.5 km hike uphill to the lodge was definitely worth the effort. The lodge itself...

I could have never planned a more perfect place to spend time. We arrived with very few expectations but we left feeling like part of the family. The hiking access and wilderness feel is what attracted us. The trails, ecosystem, views and wildlife were amazing but the people and the hospitality put it over the top! The accommodations and food...

We were greeted at the lodge with a refreshing drink, smile and a hug, which was very welcome after the walk up the mountain. The rooms were beautiful and there was a variety of sizes all with amazing views. The dining room was just outstanding and a very suitable place for yoga. Even with a group of us staying together...

Our family of four (with a 4 year old and near 2 year old in tow) just had the honor and privilege to spend five nights at the Santa Lucia Cloud Forest Reserve and what an amazing experience we had. We have stayed at many so called “eco-lodges” over the years but this was the first that truly came the...
