Casa del Aguila is place to feel like home. The rooms are very spacious with great views of the city. The breakfast is the best we ever tried. The people are very friendly. We can reccommend this Hostel to any one visiting Cuenca!

I enjoyed this colonial style comfortable redecorated hotel. It had a beautiful decore, and made you feel right at home. Convenient to walk to central park and downtown area. Staff was helpful, and I really enjoyed my stay.

This was just the very type of place we wanted to stay in while visiting Cuenca. It is an old Spanish colonial home turned into an exquisite hotel. The decor is fantastic with handpainted plaster walls, and one feel like they are entering into a different era once you step inside. It is within very short walking distance of El...

This hotel is really lovely. Every room from the main courtyard to the lounge and hallways are beautifully restored. The rooms are super clean and very comfortable. It's about 4 blocks from the main square in a quieter section of town. The Old City is very walkable. The staff was accommodating. We were there 2 nights and the second night,...

This hotel near the historical center (7 minutes walk), is beautiful in colonial style. The rooms are big, wooden floors and ceilings, great beds, nice bathroom with shower gel with chocolate smell. the rooms are around a patio. Everything is decorated and furnished with taste and love. Breakfast is okay in a green patio. Staff is really helpful and friendly....

There may be some good rooms in this hotel, but we didn't get them. Very near the central Cuenca plaza on a Main Street, there are probably few rooms with views. Our rooms were small, some with no windows and therefore stuffy. The breakfast was basic. The staff was helpful and friendly. Wi-Fi was weak and inconsistent, like most small...

It i sin the old town of Cuenca, very old house well maintained, very rustic. Good room, but could be noisy depending on your neighbors. The sound outside the room is easily getting into the room. Well positioned to walk around old Cuenca. We liked it.

Casa del Aguila was beautiful. Our 10 day stay could not have been better. The staff was friendly, helpful and so patient with our Spanish. (Some staff members speak English.) They helped us with tour information and airport transport. The location is excellent and safe, within walking distance to the main areas of Cuenca. The room was beautifully appointed with...

This hotel is beautiful and quaint. But considering the price I think I expected more. There in no TV in the room - just a bed and some furniture. The shower is the best I had on my 3 month trip in SA. The breakfast is good but needs some consistency - one day it was a la carte, the...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Is located in a pictorial colonial-style building, which takes us back to a time full of tradition and magnetism in Cuenca. Located in one of the most beautiful places of the Historical center, the most important attraction is the diversity of all elements spread in its common areas and the magnificent conservative details in its decoration, which provide a different personality to the hotel. ... more   less
