San Pancho is in a perfect location, just 1 block away from Plaza de Armas, which is close to several stores and restaurants. I arrived in Arequipa at 5:30am by bus and waited until 11:30am check-in as the hostel was full and my room wasn't available yet. Unfortunately, the waiting/living room, which had a couch, was outside on the patio.... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. This was a great place to stay staff were very kind and helpfull. There was a great kitchen were we can cook our own stuff. There was a poolbillard and a ping-pong table. We liked it very much.

We stayed here on three occasions. The first time for four nights, the second time for two nights and the third time for two nights. On the first two occasions the manager was helpful, interested in us and was a great host. As soon as we paid on the third stay he changed and ignored us, he had got the... More

we stayed only 1 night and we arrive late from Chile and we have emailed ahead for reservations and booking a room with a shared bathroom and it turned a room with a private bathroom that would have been ok, but showers were cold, breakfast (we choose the pancakes) was not well cooked and my wife got ill later in... The hostel is in a quaint little square about five blocks from the main plaza. Pancakes were the better option for breakfast - much more appetizing than the scrambled eggs. Staff spoke good English and helped us navigate the city. The hostel had one of the fastest wifi connections we came across while traveling through South America. It sounded like... More

I would return to this hostel. We arrived early in the morning and found reception staff to be friendly, helpful and with good English skills and a smile :) We booked a private double room (not that much more expensive than a dorm room) with shared bathroom. Facilities were simple, but clean, and everything you need. Luke-warm shower was unfortunate.... More

The hostel doesn't quite live up to its name, but it is very good and worth a stay if you are in Arequipa. There seem to be a few party hostels in this city; this is not one of them, so if you're looking for a party, I wouldn't suggest you stay here. We stayed two nights - before and... More

My partner and I stayed 2 nights here before and after trekking. Overall the hostel is comfortable with clean rooms, comfortable beds and good showers. Staff were friendly, the breakfast was awesome and it was great having a fully equipped kitchen. The only drawback is that it lacks a bit of atmosphere as a 'backpackers' hostel. This suited us fine... More

An absolute little gem. I'm so pleased I stayed here rather than roughing it with some of the gap year muppets at Wild Rover! I stayed slightly out of season so the hostel was quiet when I was there, however aside from the slight lack of social interaction I certainly could not fault anything about the place. The location is... More
