The hotel is extraordinary. The colonial building is beautiful and really big, it feels like you are in a peaceful little town right in the center of Arequipa. Our room was huge , beautiful and clean. I recommend it!

The place is beautiful, the staff are very attentive and the rooms, although they look quite basic, are very stylish. The buffet breakfast is also basic, however has enough selection to be good. I would have enjoyed a small selection of more Arequipan food, such as adobo and pan de tres puntos. The location is far enough from the centre...

The former home of a bishop, this hostel is like sleeping in historic church. Beautiful courtyards. Front desk let us in at 4am when our best arrived and ordered a taxi at checkout. In the historic area of Arequipa and awesome.

This was one of the best value hostels I have stayed in in the last 3 months. Beautiful colonial house with gorgeous , terracotta walls and stunning flowers everywhere. Great breakfast and helpful staff. Only 3 blocks from the main square in Arequipa. All facilities were great except there was no wifi in the rooms, only near the reception area....

The location is fantastic, just a couple of blocks walk from the Plaza d armas and a wide range of restaurants available all around the hostel. Reception staff are not friendly at all, they barely engage with customers and regularly making mistakes with prices and wake up calls. However, ladies serving breakfast are lovely, nice warm greeting when you arrive....

We have stayed at Le Casa De Melgar for 2 weeks. A great experience, clean rooms, very friendly courteous staff at the desk, breakfast and people working to make the place hospitable and clean. Breakfast was good, (coffee could be stronger) The restaurant attached to the lobby, Il Fornellino was fresh and tasty and worth the visit for many reasons...The...

We spent 2 nights there and liked the detailed decoration of each room, the good breakfast and sunny garden and patios! Some rooms can be a little dark, but since we spent most part of the day sightseeing, this wasn't an issue. The location is central and great to explore most of Arequipa's sights. I would definitely come back and...

The Casa is ideally situated, just blocks from the famous and fabulous Plaza de Armas. Our room was spacious and well-appointed, and the mudejar touches in the entry and courtyards were gorgeous. Breakfast was satisfactory, though without eggs to order.

I needed a place to stay in Arequipa to wrap up my 2 week trip to Peru, which included the 4 day Inca Trek. I saw this place listed on the web, and I thought, wow, looks nice, seems too good to be true. But the reviews were all top and the pictures showed a great deal of old-world charm....

A very charming place to stay, close to everything and with charming old style rooms and furniture with real class, a good breakfast and nice garden as well. A great place to stay if you spend a couple of days in town...
