This Hotel was EXCEPTIONAL! They made all types of arrangements to accommodate our every request. We stayed here in June 2021 during the pandemic and we felt safe and comfortable every single day we stayed in this hotel. The staff was warm and welcoming and not once did they hesitate to complete any request we had right down to doing same day laundry. What can I say? This place is in the heart of Cuzco walking distance from The Plaza de Armas and all the best markets and museums. You can literary walk out of the hotel and reach awesome Inca sites, awesome restaurants and markets in just a few minutes. Room service was expertly done every single day and breakfast was tasty. Shout out to Cesar the front desk agent who went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of, from negotiating better rates for additional nights to making detailed recommendations of what museums and places to visit on our free days, he was awesome.

If you are looking for the best, it is a no brainer, boom with Los Portales, you will not regret it.

This is your more classic hotel which has several floors of rooms, each with a variety of different rooms that face different parts of Cusco. We had a room which faced the back part of the hotel, which was absolutely perfect, as it was much quieter and allowed us to sleep with the window open and not be disturbed in the middle of the night. This hotel does not have air conditioning, but by opening the window at night, it allowed us to have a comfortable temperature, while sleeping . The bathroom is a good size and the water temperature and pressure were great.

The breakfast consisted of a buffet of both cold and hot foods and offered a variety of fresh juices and fruit.

The location of this hotel is along a very busy street in the main area of Cusco but is a much closer walk to the Plaza de Armes and other main tourist attractions. If you are looking for a classic and standard designed hotel, then this would be a great place to book a room.

It is a very comfortable hotel and one of the best options in Cusco, we really enjoyed the views from the rooms.
The attention of the staff, the breakfast, the location, are factors that make this hotel unique.

No airconditioner nor heater, the breakfast is average, kind of noisy location to sleep.
I stayed in 3 hotels in cuzco, i would say that others hotels were better in quality and price relationship.
The people working there are friendly and attentive but the infrastructure itself, the food (re-heated food for breakfast), and the room is not desirable.
For summary, an average hotel for a price which you can get better hotel around.

Stayed here before/after doing a 5 day Salkantay trek (highly recommend, see that review of mine) and this place was the perfect spot before our trip. They kept our luggage while we were on our trek and were a welcome sight to return to.
They had a great lobby always stocked with Coca tea for altitude adjustment, great couches to chill and always super friendly staff. The room was surprisingly huge with a wonderful bathroom & tub.
The building is on the main drag a short walk to the main square but there is a church very close by that often has fresh churros sold in front! Great little spot!

This hotel was perfect to stay at and the staff were exceptional in their customer service and very polite. Not a very far walk to the Plaza de Armas or San Marcos (The Mercadado) maybe 10 minutes each way. Really good continental breakfast which comes with, bread, fruit, and eggs. Coffee Juices are available as well. Not only does the person at the front counter tend to administrative duties they also act as the server during breakfast hours. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel. Shout out to Caesar for his professionalism and politeness.

LP Hotel Cusco is right across the street from IncaRail office. We booked a trip to Muchu Picchu with IncaRail and they really went all out to make it a once in a lifetime trip. LP was extremely helpful in every detail to make our stay perfect. The staff was friendly, intelligent and spoke English.

6 Day's at Lp los portales hotel, cusco. Great location near to all amenities the inca rail office was just across the road. Good breakfast friendly helpful staff what more do you need. At the top of the road next to the main square Plaza de Armas there's a travel company Apus golden peru, which we found to be the best priced around and we enjoyed all the trips.

I was fortunate enough to randomly book Los Portales, Cusco . It had good reviews and looked quite nice from the photos. It is situated on ave del sol where all the action is . Walking distance to many of the cathedrals and plaza de armas. The room was very clean with TV and refrigerator and the bed was bliss..very comfortable. The topper is the staff here. I mean...nice just doesn't cut it...absolutely the best staff of ANY hotel I've stayed on. Front desk will bend over backwards to accommodate . The restraunt inside serves great food as well and is open early to late. Wilson, Jaime, Vilma and Pedro were as friendly as the rest...kudos to all of you for making our time in cusco brilliant. I love this place.

Rooms were clean and comfortable. The restaurant serves delicious food. I loved the little courtyard cafe tables and the lounge area. The hot water comes and goes when showering, but that's only a slight inconvenience. What made this place so fantastic (aside from the great location) was the service of the staff. They weren't just friendly, but went as far as asking what we were hoping to do and providing helpful information without even being asked. They were so helpful in every aspect of our stay that we really felt like guests at a friend's house. Cesar was especially helpful in navigating all the things to do and see in Cusco during COVID restrictions.

I was there in September, and there was no need for AC. I don't believe the weather is warm enough in Cusco to need AC.

the palace of the sun, Qoricancha is almost opposite the hotel , however the main square is about a 15 minute walk. the more highly rated restaurants in Cusco are closer to the square.

Hi Erin The hotel has a storage area next to the reception desk, very secure and well staffed, we left our luggage there while on a trek. A great hotel choice for a Cusco base, enjoy.

Not sure how much we can help here. Like the other viewer, we booked our trip through a vacation agency and they took care of transportation. We had the same experience with the hotel staff. They really went their way out to be helpful. I'm pretty sure, if you need help in getting a taxi from the hotel, they can help you. As from airport to the hotel, we also saw a lot of taxis around the airport, ready to pick up travelers. Public transportation in Cusco is very limited, especially compared to Euro or US. Hope that helps.
