This hotel experience is by far the best one I've ever had in South America. The hotel is a very small and cozy hotel located just a couple of blocks from La Plaza De Armas. We arrived at 04.30:Am from Puno and got a early check-in for free and got to sleep for a couple of hours. The staff are... More

We stayed at Rumi Wasi 3 nights and it was GREAT! This place is close to the center of Cusco - you can see it in the terrace and upper balcony - BREATH TAKING VIEW day or night! Not to mention, the hotel has a remains of Inca wall!!! The rooms were very clean (spotless!!!), the personal was very polite,... More

We stayed here twice before and after the Inka trail. Very nice hotel, just like the pictures. We were very early before check in but our room was still ready. They gave us a paper bag breakfast prior to the inka trail at 4:30am which was nice. Water bottles for the foot of the bed every night was a very... More

This is an old colonial house remodeled and turned into a hotel. Pretty house with all you need for your stay in Cuzco. Very comfy and intimate. Very secure. It is up the hill from the main square. Super close to everything. Once you get there, you have keys to go in the house and to your room. They bring... More

We stayed at Rumi Wasi for 4 nights, 3 before our Machu Picchu hike and 1 night after. The hotel is spotless. The beds are amazingly comfortable. Breakfast is made to order. (The fresh squeezed orange juice really hit the spot!) Have it served on the balcony; the mornings were chilly, but the view was worth it. The staff are... More

This is a great place to stay! It is a short walk from the main square and close to all attractions, restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly and help you with anything you need. At night there is turn down service and they put a hot water bottle in your bed. A great surprise when you get back!... More

We enjoyed our stay in the close to 400 year old refurbished spanish residence. Nice modern/classic rooms with pottery you can purchase from inside your room. Very helpful staff, they came around at night with hot water containers to put in your bed by your feet to make it extra comfy. Ok breakfast, suggest eating on the balcony. 5 mins... More

Cannot speak highly enough of Rumi Wasi in Cusco, from our welcome and check in we knew this would be a great stay. Luxury at a very reasonable rate. Wonderful beds with high quality sheets and bedding, warmed hot water bottles left in our beds, beautifully appointed spacious room and bathroom, great breakfast, great location close main square but still... We stayed here one night on our way to Machu Picchu. The concierge was very knowledgeable and gave us useful advice for how to deal with the altitude sickness and what tourist traps/scams to avoid. The hotel is in an old, stone building, and the rooms haven't been changed since the 15th century with the exception of adding bathrooms. We... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Rumi Wasi (House of Stone) is a house with a colonial style built in the XVI century by Spanish conquerors and erected over Inca's terraces. The property was then bought by the San Roman-Vucetich family. Once the restoration was finished and after contemplating how beautiful it had been done, The San Roman-Vucetich family decided to share the warmth of its installations with Cusco visitors. Thus, we are waiting for you to enjoy a nice and comfortable atmosphere enriched for its architectural beauty, privileged view, history and tranquility. ... more   less
