My husband and I stayed at Casona La Recoleta in Cusco for a week. We had a great experience and would whole-heartedly recommend it to other travellers.

We stayed in a loft which was very spacious, had a fireplace, cooking facilities, very comfortable beds.

The guesthouse cleaned the rooms/bathrooms every day. And breakfast foods and fruits were provided so we could have/make breakfasts in the rooms in the morning.

There is a small beautiful garden out in the back and the guesthouse is set in a lovely area. Location is a few short minutes talk to Plaza de Armas.

Best of all was the fantastically helpful Nuria, who was very kind and warm and helped us with our various requests.

Highly recommended! We would unhesitatingly return.

What a great find! I truly felt like I was brilliant for booking this place! The location is amazing, in a quiet area but less than 5 minute walk to the square where all the restaurants are. The apartment is equipped with everything we needed including a juicer to make fresh-squeezed orange juice every morning!
Every afternoon they brought us fruit, eggs, bread, jam, butter, cheese, yogurt and more, so that we could make our breakfast the next day, whenever we wanted to. It was so nice a relaxing vs getting dressed and going to a dining room.
This was by far our favourite place we stayed in the 3 weeks we were in Peru. You must stay here!!

The property was beautiful. It is located on a one way street and drop off right in front may not be possible as the street can be busy. It is walking distance to many restaurants, cafe, shops and Plaza de Armas. The staff was so helpful and we just loved the unit we had. There was a group of 7 of us and we rented 2 units.

When I did not see any recent reviews on la Casona, I was a bit worried, but that turned out to be for no reason. It is a wonderfully rustic place, in the San Blas area, a short walk from the Plaza San Blas and on the other side the Plaza de Armas. We arranged a pick up from the airport and Oswaldo was waiting for us when we arrived. Staff is very friendly and very helpful to give information about Cusco and surrounding. We stayed at the end of July and were not cold at all (like a previous poster wrote). From our living room we had a wonderful view over Cusco. Fully recommended!

We stayed here for two nights. The staff was so friendly and helpful. We felt safe and welcomed here. The room was clean and had so much charm! Our kitchen had everything we needed as well as our bathroom and bedroom. The grounds are beautiful, with flowers and parrots. We loved it here and highly recommend. Great location! Three minute walk to the main square.

We are attracted by the first sight of seeing the hotel and the staffs are very friendly. The is a small cozy place and well equipped. From the balcony of our room, the view is astonishing, we will recommend friends to stay here when visiting Cuzco.

Our family of 4 stayed 2 nights before and 1 night after our Inca Trail trek. The hotel stored our bags during the trek. The loft featured a double bed in a private room, 3 single beds in a loft, and a large kitchen/den family room. Staff speaks Spanish only, but is very friendly and eager to please. They called us a taxi to the airport when we left. The location is central for Cusco, although the roadway is indeed narrow. (Be ready to jump out of your taxi quickly.) Highly recommended.

A very nice apartment hotel. Features a fireplace, a kitchen and make your own breakfast. We cooked eggs and made fresh juice, lots of bread and eggs, but only 1 pc of cheese and ham per person.
Our place was with 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom for 3 people. Good that the place comes with 2 heater for the cold nights. The rate was $105 usd via online booking, except when arrive the hotel charge us $110 instead. The road to the hotel was really narrow, has a sidewalk of 14" with rough stone blocks. I would not recommend this hotel for seniors or people need support for walkings. When a bigger car pass by you it can touch you.
The hotel is within walking distance to Plaza Armas, also a good pizza place just few steps from there. Hotel can arrange a half day Cusco tours for $25 usd per person (Hector was a very good guide) and a full day tour of Sacred Valley for $45 usd per person (Abel was our driver and guide, he was excellent)..
*You can ask the hotel to send a Taxi to pick you up from the airport... it is about $45 soles
*The hotel is within walking distance to Plaza de Armas, and a little grocery store near by.
*The taxi from hotel to the Poroy train station was $50 soles
*They can also store your luggage for you when you travel to Machu Picchu or trekking

We had a loft apartment, large bedroom, living room with fireplace, kitchen and a loft w 2 single beds ( we were 3). Nice bathroom - lots of hot water, and a covered balconey with a lovely view. Eggs, ham, cheese bread, lots of fresh fruit delivered daily -great jam. Close to central plaza- about 6-7 min walk. Great staff, very helpful, very clean and comfortable and quiet at night.Pretty garden. Excellent choice for acclimatizing pre-trek or recovery post trek or just a visit to Cusco. Highly recommended
