3 of us stayed here for 1 night on 2 separate occasions. The hotel is located close to the main plaza, and a short walk to the malecon. There is a pantry with water and teas out the front, and an open air patio with plants and birds in the middle. The rooms are basic but clean, with a small... More

La Casona is half block away from the central plaza, close to El Malecon (5min walking), has lots of rooms and the staff is very helpful. My room, double bedroom, was clean and goof good size. Beds are comfortable and you can decide to have a fan or cool air... Did not try the breakfast, but for 7 soles more... More

Spent two nights here, great place just off Plaza de Armas in centre of Iquitos. Transfer from airport included. Room with air con and hot water. Two things let it down, the night club nearby is noisy and it rained so hard water came through ceiling into my packing (they did a good job clearing up at 4am though). I'd... More

Tucked away just off the plaza, la Casona doesn't look like much from the outside. And I was a little worried when they took me down a flight of stairs to a windowless room. Room was very nice though, air conditioned and spacious. It actually makes a lot of sense to be underground, there was no street noise and it... More

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights before our Amazon adventure. This has to be the most unique accommodations I have ever been to. Crazy cool art everywhere, a quaint little courtyard with tables and lounging areas all over the property. Free wifi. Three little resident birds who are quite charming. The hotel is maze like, twists and turns... More

I was recommended this place and sadly it didn't come totally up to the remarks. The rooms were clean and spacious with ac and a fan, however my room was on the bottom floor and had no glass in the windows. Leaving me with no privacy. I had people outside my window, where a table, some chairs and a couch... More

Echo most reviews Clean, simple, safe. Perfect location to walk, experience Iquitos as a tourist and life as a native in the Plaza de Armas. Recommend to pay the extra fee for a/c. Staff speak English and are helpful. I was en route to Nauta for two weeks in the jungle w/ Pulse Adventures. Not thrilled with the chaos of... More

I don't understand where all the good reviews come from. The place is in a noisy, hectic part of town, and the hotel itself is noisy and hectic. We did have a room with air conditioning but no window. Noisy neighbors next door, and a lot of noise and running around in the hallways at night. The wifi was so... More

This place may not be a 5-star hotel but you are in Iquitos which is a chaotic city, this place has safety and comfort which is exactly what you need. I also loved how alot of the guests were here for Ayahuasca or Jungle expeditions which allows you to connect and make friends. The place looks amazing as well, decorated... More
