This place has probably seen better days, but still it has everything you need. Pool looked inviting but didn't try it out - it closes at 6pm so as to minimise noise. Good breakfast. Funky old world lift. Central and safe. Very slow internet. Front desk don't have great English skills. Rooms facing the street are very noisy and rooms...

I chose this hotel because of other reviews I read here. The people are lovely, great service, however, some rooms need repairs. I stayed one night, went to the jungle, returned for a second night. The first stay I refused a small, dark room with a bed 3 inches off the ground. The second room they offered me was much...

We spent a week in the amazon and needed a hotel for one night before flying out of Iquitos airport. We chose Victoria regia hotel, I was attracted to it because of the indoor pool and it looked nice. The rooms are TINY and we were given one on the top floor. I thought that was nice, yet it was...

We stayed here before and after a jungle lodge tour. The first time was good, we were in room 317 which was spacious with a sitting area and a great big double bed. The second time, despite requesting room 317 again we were practically sneered at by the lady on reception and given the key to room 513 which is...

Come here often. I have tried other hotels in Iquitos. I always come back to Victoria Regia. Good service, no hassles and if any problem, they take care of it right away. You have to remember where you are to appreciate this hotel. Iquitos is in the middle of th Peruvian Amazonia, accesible only by plane or river (4 day...

Stayed here for one night before heading out on an Amazon Cruise. The hotel staff is professional and helpful (they called us a motortaxi even though there was really no need to do so in Iquitos). The room we had was reasonably sized, mostly clean, and had a window that was frosted (so no view). The water in the shower...

The air-conditioning and a small pool, along with a reasonable price and a good location were the draw for me. My room was clean, reasonably large with a desk. I found the bathroom tile floor to be slippery, so put a town down if you are wet. The shower water was only tepid, not cold, but certainly not hot. My...

The rooms were pretty big. There is no view as the windows are frosted (and for good reason) but the center atrium has a pool, wifi was available and there is a cafe / bar. The only downside was the breakfast is lack luster and the shower is not hot.

Hi! True, by European standards it's closer to a 3 stars hotel and I guess opinions are based on one's travel experience; personally I found the hotel to be OK, clean & safe and the staff friendly and helpful. There is a bit of smell but I would say that given the location, in the Amazon basin, it is OK...

I consider a 3 star rating an assessment of 'average' or only OK and that pretty sums up my stay there. I stayed there for one night before I headed into the jungle. Room was only OK. Plenty of space, seemed clean enough (although tough to tell with some of the furniture that seemed a little old), but the room...
