The private rooms are above a bar so you won't get much sleep, especially considering the curtains don't fully close and the sun wakes you very early in the morning. We weren't told until the second morning that breakfast was included for private rooms (the free breakfast is utterly dire!). Despite advertising activities they didn't bother to do them when...

The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Great location - close to lots of restaurants, bars and places of interest. Loved the bar area upstairs, especially when the roof was open. Good shower. The 'free breakfast' was jam and bread (not really my idea of breakfast) and then they wanted more money for breakfast 'extras'. The kitchen was not...

After beginning the 3 week journey in Peru, we have to go back home. We have had great experiences with Kokopelli in Cuzco and Paracas. We decided to stay at the Lima's branch as well, it was a good decision. The bed, room and breakfast are of good quality and price. It is a little bit more pricey than the...

This was one of my favourite hostels in South America. I stayed for one night in a 6 bed female dorm and was very impressed with the dorm rooms, very clean, very cosy, and nicely decorated. you have your own curtain around the bed for privacy too and it had an ensuite bathroom. it has a really good bar on...

The showers are for men AND women together and no separate space to change. SO UNCOMFORTABLE and weird. Who the hell decided that was a good idea? Shower temps go from hot to scalding. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful so points for that. And the wifi is decent. Plus 2 computers upstairs you can use. I appreciated that....

Stayed here for 3 nights in a shared female dorm. It's a sociable hostel and a good place to meet fellow backpackers. They have a little tourist agency downstairs which was handy when trying to sort out my bus. The first night was fine but the main issue I had was noise on the Friday night they were blasting out...

I was traveling with my 12 year old son so we needed safe and secure. Hostel Kokopelli was perfect. It was clean and had an excellent location, we felt lucky to call it home during our stay. It was a great bonus to be able to leave our packs in their secure storage, even while our stay was over. We...

Great social atmosphere! And the location is perfect and in walking distance to many sites and restaurants. The staff were cool and one night there was a large group(12-15) of us that went to a nearby discotheque. Only downside during my stay was that they had construction from renovation that started at like 8 or 9 am!

Generally I try to avoid chain type hostels due to having that commercial feel that normally resonates throughout. However, Kokopelli has maintained its unique feel between the locations while providing consistency - both the good and the bad but you know exactly what to expect. Prices reasonable, amenities are good, assistance and advise it on hand, all while food and...
