This B&B/hotel/hostel offers standard, no frills accommodation probably most appropriate for a short, budget stay. It probably would have been fine if I had been there for a few nights on a cheap holiday, but unfortunately I was there on business and required something of a slightly higher standard. It was the middle of summer and it does not have...

Arriving with Cruz del Sur early in the morning we went to our hotel around 6 am (which we booked the night before). In other words, we woke up the owner who had no clue we were coming. After a couple of minutes we collapsed on a double bed in a clean, spacious and beautiful room with a bathroom in...

very good and quiet place, good access to transportation to go around the city. Lot of places around to walk and see the real Lima. Internet kind of slow, but that is something standard in Peru. Nice breakfast, clean rooms. Wilber (the owner) was very good and helpful..

Arrived after a late flight and were welcomed immediately. Great rooms with private baths. Included breakfast but could be more--just coffee, tea, juice and rolls. Location is perfect for exploring Lima. Supermarket within walking distance. One block from Av. Arequipa with lots of public transportation.

We stayed for one night at La Casona after making a last-minute (morning-of) booking online for us and our dog. We were greeted with some disheartening confusion regarding the dog (the listing on Booking says pet-friendly, but then they say by-request only...I guess if you make the booking far ahead of time, you could submit this request). Fortunately, the manager...

The hotel itself is quaintly decorated in reproductions in an 18th century style, with a few odd additions of winter and Christmas themed decorations. It's on a little one-way street, but its between several large avenues so it was never hard to find a taxi. There are a number of little shops around it, and tons of cheap restaurants (including...

We arrived late (midnight) and the place was closed with no lights on. We didn't know if this was really a hotel, as there was no sign to indicate so. After ringing the bell for 10 minutes someone came to open. We were shown to our room which had 3 beds, 2 of which didn't have sheets, the bathroom was...

This was the first place I stayed whilst in Peru. The owner Wilbur was very accommodating and made us feel at home. The room was not exactly as specified, no balcony, no air con, no smoking, however Wilbur was a mine of knowledge and talking with him helped us plan our trip better. The hotel is situated in San Isidro,...
