I recently had a wonderful stay at hotel Pakaritampu. The service was impeccable, and the staff was very kind helping me to accommodate some last minute changes due to personal circumstances. The room was clean, comfortable, and tastefully decorated. The mountains view from the amenities areas were breathtaking, the breakfast delicious and the hotel's central location made it convenient for exploring the city and to take the train to Cusco (3 minutes walk). I highly recommend Hotel Pakaritampu for a delightful and memorable stay in the magical town of Ollantaytambo.

Great location for access to the train station. Beautiful buildings, lounge, and rooms are spacious and clean. The main road outside is so busy, but sitting in the garden area is like a retreat. We stayed 2 nights and wanted to stay 3 but was sold out when we returned from Machu Picchu. We wish we had made prior reservations.

Room Tip: Close to train station. We also were able to leave one of our suitcases while we went to trek...

Close to the train station. BEAUTIFUL grounds. Very helpful staff. Rooms were large, and multiple small porches off many to sit. It was lovely to go on their terraces and see all the mountains around you. You can easily see the nearby archeological area. Also a 10-15 minute walk to the town square. We also highly recommend the restaurant at the train station.

Just back from 2 nights at the Pakaritampu. Hotel is nice and the the staff if very friendly. During our trip it was very empty and we only saw a few other people in the place. It is the most convenient place to the train station and an easy walk to the town plaza. I would recommend it as a place to stay if you overnight in Ollantaytambo. The breakfast is very typical of what we had in our other hotels across Peru. The dinner menu is also decent.

Once again on my trip around Peru the hotel is lovely and rooms tidy and nice but the hotel is positioned right next to the road to the train station and all traffic that goes up and down it to early hours then starts again around 4am plus dogs barking all night and rooms so hot no air con and can not open the the windows due to the noise I have had hardly any sleep in the 2 weeks I have been here if you value your sleep don’t stay here

Let's start with the positives. Ollantaytambo is a great base for the Sacred Valley and this hotel has a great location in Ollantaytambo. It is a stone's throw from the railway station and just a short walk into town or to the base of the Sun Temple. The hotel has great spacious rooms. The hotel is set in a lovely garden that was a pleasure to walk around. Breakfast can be described as adequate rather than thrilling. The one dinner we had in the hotel was uninspiring - there are plenty more interesting places to eat in town. The big gripe was that when we arrived at 21.20 we were told it would not be possible to have a hot drink. (The one thing the rooms lack is any way of making a drink). During the day there is a pot of coffee on the go in reception. Given that I think it would have been possible to provide a hot drink - even at 21.20. I got the impression that some of the hotel staff were dispirited by the low number of guests staying in the hotel. A shame because food and beveridges aside the hotel has a lot going for it. 0

Very beautiful grounds and incredible garden. 10/10 location, minutes from train and town. Beds below average, found them very hard. Room is freezing due to no heat, but eventually we asked for a heater and it fixed a lot Bathroom very small, no storage, shower curtain flings at you during shower, no fan. Outdated. Breakfast is honestly v bad as others have said. Slim pickings. We went our second day at 15 min to closing time and there was nothing available. Even when we went early it’s only boiled eggs, sausage and yogurt with some fruit. all things considered it actually was a great stay. the beauty makes up for a lot of the negatives but I wouldn’t have wanted to stay longer than 2 nights

We stayed here for a couple of nights while doing the Sacred Valley and Chinchero. It is a lovely hotel with beautiful gardens with hummingbirds. The room was clean. The wifi wasn’t great when we first got there but it was sorted out pretty quickly. The hotel is only about 10 mins walk from Ollantaytambo town centre and extremely close to the station which was very convenient. The restaurant is ok - it seemed a bit cold and empty. But the food was nice and breakfast was fairly plentiful. Would recommend.

A little dated, in fact the bathroom was very dated. Clean and comfortable but 4 star is a push. Location was handy for the train station which has a nice restaurant. The hotel breakfast was pretty poor, nothing gluten free except fruit and cheese and the staff weren’t overly friendly.
