During the off season, there were only 3 guests here! We were treated very well and the outdoors was so inviting with flowers, a running river directly beside us and tiki lights to light the way. Our room was comfortable, warm and clean. Coffee and tea was always available and the breakfast very filling. Lockers were provided after check out the next day for our luggage as we explored the quaint town of Ollantaytambo.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mana Simona, even if for just one night.

We stayed at Mama Simona for two nights and had an extremely pleasant time. We look forward to staying here again next time we are in the Sacred Valley.

The hostel is located along the river, about a 5-10 minute walk from the main square. The location is quiet and peaceful and removed from the hustle and bustle of the city. The accommodations are fairly simple, but the rooms were clean and well-maintained. The hostel grounds are beautiful, with a nice garden area and a main lounge with couches and a TV. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning, which includes various hot/cold beverages, bread, cereal, yogurt, and hard boiled eggs. The hostel is also thoughtfully equipped with travel books, umbrellas, shared bug spray, and anything else you might need during your stay.

All of the staff were very friendly and happy to help us organize a day tour and transfers to/from the Cusco airport. Thanks for a great stay!

I booked for a couple of nights, and ended up staying a week more.

The rooms were cleaned daily, the white noise from the river running by the bedrooms allowed for a super deep sleep at night, the gardens were a blissful place to hang out in during the day, the free breakfast/tea/coffee was always there for me when I woke up, and the hostel owners did their best to make me feel like part of the family during my stay.

Can't say enough good things about this hostel and the people who run it. My absolute favourite stay in Peru.

Mama Simona b&b exceeded all expectations. Bed was comfortable, the rooms were exceptionally clean and breakfast was great including fresh juice. The setting is absolutely lovely—there is a back garden with hammocks and tables to relax, set along a stream with beautiful flowers. Kitchen appeared large, well-equipped, and again, exceptionally clean. Complimentary tea, coffee, and filtered water to refill bottles which was much appreciated. The owner was nice enough to provide me with walking instructions around the town including hikes up to some alternate ruins. B&b is well situated—a short walk into the town center. He also LITERALLY SAVED MY LIFE by figuring out how to quickly contact me when I left my laptop at the b&b. (Additionally, great wifi.) Overall 10/10 stay in this very pretty town, I wish my itinerary let me stay longer!

Ollaytaytambo is a darling town and this hostel was perfect for our short stay here on our way back from Machu Picchu. It's about a 10 minute walk from the main plaza in town. The rooms are small, but we didn't need anything fancy. The room was cozy. The river runs right next to the hostel, so you can hear it at all times, but I really liked that. The hostel's garden was lovely, and you can access wifi both in the garden and inside the lobby (not in the rooms). Breakfast (coffee, hard-boiled eggs, bread & jam, juice) was included. My husband and I would definitely recommend Mama Simona!

We decided to stay at Mama Simona's after hiking the Inca Trail and visiting Machu Picchu. We are so glad we did. We had such a lovely stay. The garden setting is great for relaxing with places to sit and hammocks to enjoy. The entire place was clean, the shower water hot and they provided filtered drinking water for all the guests. Our room was serviced daily, we received complimentary coffee and tea and a very nice breakfast. Hospitality was excellent. We were able to store items when hiking the trail and they assisted us with laundry service and transportation to Cusco Airport. I highly recommend this place.

We stayed at Mama Simona for one night and wished we could stay for much longer. The view from the rooms is absolutely stunning, right next to the river and overlooking the Ollantaytambo mountain. The hotel has a lovely garden and all of the amenities one could want. The breakfast was delicious and well prepared. The highlight of our stay was however the service. Fernando, the owner, is very friendly and eager to help and answer any questions we had. The hotel also has one of the most effective and robust covid policies we've seen in Peru, a very important factor during these times. Overall, the hotel, location, service and treatment were some of the best I've ever seen.

Great stay! It’s about 10 minutes outside of the main center of the town, which I preferred. There’s a river outside (usually bigger than photo, visited at end of dry season it actually got much bigger in a day), with a pretty garden and flowers and big trees. The host was super great about coming up with trekking ideas around the area and all of Cusco really. Lovely! He also is raising money for a reverse osmosis water purifier for the town, which is cool.

Had a great stay here!
My room was amazing, with a small balcony, garden view, towels, heater, everything you need.
Breakfast was one of the best I had in Peru, with various options to pimp your breakfast for little money.
15 minutes walking to the Plaza de Armas.

As soon as you enter Mama Simona in Ollantaytambo, you are greeted by wonderful hosts and Fernando. Fernando explains everything with detail and is always glad to help with any recommendations or advice in how to get around the Valley. If you ever have some extra time, he’ll even share some great stories with you. Everything is clean and cozy and once you step out into the back patio you are greeted by majestic views! Rooms are extra clean, warm water works great. Breakfast had everything I needed to start my adventures. I am so glad I stumbled upon Mama Simona and Fernando and his wife. I’ll definitely be back!
