My wife and i spent a long weekend in this wonderful boytique hotel. Situated in the trendy and attractive Blokku district of Tirana near to greta resturants and bar it was a perfect place for us to be based for our first visit to Albania.
Tirana is a trelatively small and managable city, and the Metro location gave us the perfect location to walk to all areas of the city within an easy 15 minute amble.
The hotel was vert clean, large rooms (with large beds) with very good lighting options. Breakfasts were great with a combination of 'international' options complemented by lovely local produce. Maybe above all the staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and generous - always assisting our needs and going above the call of duty in several cases.

On Tirana/Albania in general, i woukd urge people to put aside any pre-concrptions that you may have and give it a go. Despite a repressed and more recet troubled past, the country and particularly the young people are making a huge effort to address any former issues. Make the most of a city where a bit of the West meets a bit of te East at very advantaegous prices.

Our experience has been very positive and we did not see notable deficiencies. The breakfast is very complete and with a very fast and efficient bar and kitchen service. The staff is very kind and professional. The hotel is located 15 minutes walk from the center, but it is located in a very lively neighborhood, full of trendy bars, restaurants and nightclubs. It is the center of entertainment in Tirana. The mager Edi and the reception staff are very professional and explain how to get around Tirana. If necessary, they organize outings and tourist tours outside the city at very affordable prices and with total comfort. It was a success. We will definitely return to this charming hotel.

Was just in Tirana for a one night recce, and Metro Hotel came up on Google. It's great - really fine location (I was easily able to walk to all the downtown highlights), with exceptional service, great English-speaking staff, smart rooms with comfortable beds (good quality linens), polished bathrooms (nice rain-shower!), good breakfast. They were also good enough to arrange a taxi to/from the airport for me (at a very reasonable price for a private hire), so there was someone there to meet me when I landed, which was a blessing with me having no local knowledge/linguistics. Tirana's great, so I'll defo be back. And definitely staying here again next time. Can't say better than that!

When we decided to go to Tirana we wanted an affordable hotel in the middle of the Blloku quarter, the place to be with friends when you like pubs and a good place to eat. Boy did we get much more!

Metro Hotel looks very new and modern, but due to its limited size it felt very cosy. We liked to sit in the lounge before going out, have a few drinks and talk.
Behind the bar is a small breakfast area with plenty of choice and decent cup of coffee.
Of course a hotel is as good as its rooms are, and they were good. Comfy beds, excellent shower and cool ambient lighting.

But the one of the best parts for me was the staff which is very friendly and the manager gave me the feeling I knew him for years already. He gave us plenty of information about things to visit, arranged taxis, and dinner reservations.

We have just stayed for 3 nights at the Metro Hotel and really enjoyed it.

Our room was a really good size with a decent bed, enough wardrobe space, lacking draws but fine for us for the 3 days. Modern shower room, good toiletries and towels. Our room was refreshed daily. Breakfast was plentiful, we struggled to choose what to have, recommend the cappuccino and croissants. All of the hotel team were friendly we found, reception kindly printed off our boarding passes pre-departure which helped at the airport. Like another reviewer said, from the outside it looks a bit shabby don't let that first impression put you off. Excellent price/offering ratio.

We opted for the airport bus to and from the airport, cost us 4 euros or 400 LEK each, it took us around 15 minutes to walk to the hotel and back.

There are plenty of bars, coffee shops, ice-cream outlets and restaurants in the vicinity, we visited quite a few. Our favourite coffee stops were Mulliri Vjeter and Mon Sheri, we liked Nostalgia Bar, that whole area by the Castle in general was lovely (husband loved the beer recommendation) and Era for a meal.

We took the free walking tour (donations) which was excellent and would definitely recommend.

We found the city of Tirana interesting and enjoyable, we were extremely moved by the history and will definitely return to Albania.

A short walk from the centre of town; we were very pleased with the room and the friendly and helpful reception staff. One of our group had a problem with the shower, which was fixed promptly, and they gave us a bottle of wine as a gesture.
The only drawback was that the fried eggs and bacon were cold by the time we arrived for breakfast.

I love everything about it, but mostly the staff that is extremely helpful even before your stay - helps you get prepared by ordering a taxi to pick you up at the airport, orders a birthday cake for your partner that is celebrating birthday, indicates a exchange place to go to get a good rate. Location is amazing, bedrooms are really good and comfortable, shower is great. I found it a pearl and would come back and recommend without doubt! Thank YOU! You are very special people and deserve the best guests.

A new hotel situated at the heart of Blloku, loads of bars and restaurants are just around the corner or a short walk away. Very clean throughout and excellent shower. Free valet parking plus friendliness and helpfulness of every single staff member make this an excellent choice in Tirana.
