I did not know what to expect coming to this hotel but it seems like the most luxurious option in Tirana so I gave it a chance. I am glad I did.

This hotel offers incredible value for money. From an unbeatable Tirana location to a sprawling garden that was configured to watch Euro 2020 I enjoyed every minute of my stay here.

My room was spacious clean and offered an amazing view of central Tirana.

The staff went above and beyond even helping me to contact the local hospital when I discovered that they mixed up my Covid test. They then followed up with me several times throughout my stay to ensure that this issue was taken care of.

I organized transport through the hotel on 3 separate occasions and each time I was paired with a professional driver and charged a fair and honest price.

I wish I had gotten the names of the staff I dealt with so I could properly thank them.

I am incredibly impressed by my experience here and will certainly return.

Lovely larger rooms when though a little dark with all the wood
Huge outdoor indoor pool
Food ok but not amazing
Very very clean

The hotel is trying to get up to speed after covid started - they are short staffed. I had a tower suite with access to the Club Room. Club Room only.offers hot drink, water and biscuits you canr have breakfast there. They do promote the club floor as free drinks and food which is misleading. In the evening you can request wine or beer but they have to go down 5 levels to get it from the bar.

I struggled to get housekeeping or washing collected but they delivered it on tIme after a few calls.

No evening room serivce for food or drink.

Tv signal was appalling with only a few channels and no TV guide.

No pool side bar service you had to go inside as they rarely
Came out to check on people.

The manager offered free.driinks to apologise so issues were resolved.

I think there maybe other hotels more up to speed.

I would give this hotel 3.5 stars so I decided to round up to four. This hotel is located in a good spot to visit tirana‘s main attractions. We were able to walk to many excellent restaurants and coffee shops as well as some of the museums like Bunk’Art 2. This hotel has many amenities like a fitness center, pools, and dining. We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. However, some parts of the hotel are starting to look a little tired. Some of the carpeting needs replaced and certain areas need updated. Our room wasn’t quite as clean as we would have liked. There were some smears of unknown substances on some of the tiles in the bathroom as well as on one of the mirrors. We ate dinner in their restaurant one night. The food was very good, but it was also extremely pricey. It would have been nice to have some more mid-range options and comfort foods and not just fine dining at a high price point. If we were to visit the city again, we would consider this hotel but would definitely look at other options as well.

Excellent location at the quieter end of the city centre. Next to Air Albania stadium, and loads of shops and bars/restaurants nearby in walking distance. Al the major sights of Tirana very close by; no car needed to visit. We did not notice any noise from construction of Hyatt Regency next door. All staff were very hospitable and provide good service. One problem - only one pug socket you can use in the room with a european plug or adaptor. Wifi was excellent. Underground car park is free - just give your ticket to the receptionist on departure. the lounge was a bit disappointing; just soft drinks coffee and biscuits available so I probably would not pay extra for this. I will definitely stay here again if I return. One tip - only hire a car if you are a confident driver in Tirana; otherwise taxis are a better bet

We booked the hotel a week in advance and nowhere did it say that the pool was not available. The whole hotel is a construction site, that go on from 7 in the morning until midnight. When we confronted the hotel they said it was on all the booking pages, which we showed them it wasn't. The answer we got then was that it had not been updated and we demanded compensation. We received no compensation because they again claimed that we should have been informed - which we have just found out that we were not. Terrible service!

The rooms are incredibly responsive, you can hear everything the neighbors do and say. Among the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. Would not recommend anyone to stay here.

As I was going to be in Tirana during a heat wave, I booked this hotel for the pools. I was aware from a notice on Agoda that the outdoor pool was closed but the indoor pool, spa and gym were listed as opened since 1 July. Upon checkin Friday night I was told that none of these amenities were available. On Saturday morning at 8am I was awakened by loud contruction noise and opened the window to realise I was standing in the middle of a gigantic construction site. I requested a new room and this was denied. I then complained to Agoda to have the booking cancelled. Agoda contacted the hotel to see if my complaint was justified. The hotel lied and said there was no construction and that the pool was opened so there would be no refund or any waiver of cancellation fees! I cannot believe their audacity in claiming there was no construction going on. See attached photos proving otherwise.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel with excellent staff. We stayed here for 9 days and from the moment we entered the hotel , we knew this would be an excellent stay at a five star hotel. The room was very spacious and maintained to a very high standard . The ladies that cleaned the room were very good. We had breakfast every morning and the waiters / waitress and chefs were so welcoming and so friendly . The food was excellent.

The biggest asset for this hotel are the staff . A special mention to Romina, Keiti and Frida at the front desk . Such polite and wonderful women. They always had time to chat to guests and they were all so helpful. I’m sure they will all be promoted very soon, they deserve it. I used the gym every day and Ena was in charge . Once again a wonderful ,friendly woman who is a great asset to the hotel.

I will definitely recommend the MAK Albania.

Worst hotel experience ever….
-room change was accepted after witnessing construction from all sides of first room windows… only to be told at 2pm that said room was not available anymore
-gathering of <10 yo kids early in the morning in the corridor outside our room (as one room was used to conduct kids interviews). Staff response was useless and unhelpful
-assistance for taxi ordering and general response to any question was incomprehensible
Enough said 🤷‍♂️

The hotel is open whilst undergoing major reconstruction. It is surrounded by scaffolding and the view from our suite was a building site. The benefits of which ensure you will be woken up before 8am on a Sunday morning. Apart from the Finnish U21 football team the hotel was virtually empty. The hotel suite was a good size but rather tired and only had one plug to use. Advertised Tea and Coffee making facilities were not in the room but had to be requested and then they claimed they had run out of tea bags and had no milk. Rather couldnt be bothered as there was loads at the breakfast bar so we just helped ourselves. Due to the low occupancy there seemed to be more staff than guests.
Hopefully in a year or two when the refurbishment is completed the hotel will be better however at the moment it is a little tired and lacking style.
From a positive view the hotel is in a good location however there must be better options in Tirana.

We stayed here one night upon arrival and 3 nights before departing Tirana. We Loved the big rooms. No, huge would be a better word. The service was excellent. Every person we met was friendly and so professional. The gym was one of the best equipped I’ve ever been in. It had an indoor and an outdoor pool -along with cardio machines and full weights set up. The best part was the location. It’s close to everything so it was convenient to walk everywhere. I definitely would recommend this hotel when in Tirana.
