The day was beautiful until we decided to dine at this restaurant. The meal was horrible, meat hard as a rock, stale potatoes, poor service. If you're really hungry, buy yourself some chips until you get to the next restaurant.

Nicely located on Trebevic, Napretkov Dom has a wonderful view of Sarajevo and the surrounding hills, with hiking trails nearby. There is also a fresh water spring nearby. The food from the restaurant was good quality, standard Bosnian dishes. However, the wait staff is slow and leave guests unattended for long periods of time. I had to get up twice...

Just up the hill from the bobsled run and incredible views of the city below, this is a great location for a conference or overnight getaway. The restaurant is frequented by locals, which speaks highly of the food and service. I would go back.

It was by pure chance that my husband and I stumbled upon Napretkov Dom. We had flown into Dubrovnik airport in Croatia and hired a car. The drive to Sarajevo was very easy, just north on the coast road and then inland, crossing the border into Bosnia and Hercegovina towards Mostar, and onwards to Sarajevo. It took about five hours...
