I came here for several timesin the last 6 months. It is very easy to reach it as one of the main roads (Tsarigradsko shose) is next to the hotel. If you come from the airport, a taxi costs around 7-8 leva (10 leva with tips = 5 Euro) and the trip from airport lasts 10 min. From here the center is very close (5-10 min by Taxi) or you can walk 10-15min to the closest metro station. Regarding the hotel - it costs around 30 Eur per night (single). The rooms are clean and everyday they change the towels + refill shampoo. The rooms look a little bit old but are comfortable enough. Also, they have A/C, minibar (one cola/beer is 1.5 leva, a chocolate is 4 leva), heating over the winter season and wifi free in all room. The breakfast is similar everyday, but good enough: it has a coffee/tea, jam, honey, bread/croissants, a fruit, some ham. The hotel employees are very very friendly and supportive.

Rooms are all right. Breakfast is not really recommended: no choice, rather poor quality. The area is safe, some shops and restaurants around, but not a lively neighbourhood. There are good bus connections from Pliska to anywhere in town.

This place was previously known as hotel Ganesha. In fact nothing has really changed besides the name. It is is a very simple hotel but clean and very cheap. Certainly convenient if you have business to do around the Pliska area. Breakfast as simple and cheap as the hotel, quickly and efficiently served. The massage business downstairs has however unfortunately dissapeared.

i needed to stay in sofia for over a week, alone. i needed cheap accomodation, near the university sports hall. i rented a single room, with a single bed for one. very clean room, equipped with the basics - a desk, a tv, a bed, a bathroom with shower cabin, a cupboard and a minibar. the hotel is slightly outside the center - about a half an hour walk, but taxis are very cheap, so that is no problem. the breakfasts are quite boring - one gets served on a tray - 2-3 slices of bread, either tea or coffee, some jam, honey, ham, pseudo-cheeses, not great, quite boring, but enough to start the day. personnel is quite nice and helpful. one small problem in room 16 - hot water suddenly vanished presumably when others were taking showers. this only happened at popular times, say between 8-9 am, not if i took my morning shower later, so it is definitely linked to the overusage. in similar circumstances i would not hesitate to go there again.

WiFi works very well. A lot of shops and restaurants in the walking distance. Breakfast small and boring. Very good price.

This is a budget hotel, sure, but a great one!!! It has just been renovated and changed name to Kibella. Staff is the friendliest you are going to find in Sofia. Stayed for a Week to teach classes at the economics faculty of the Sofia university and didn't even felt it. One point though, you are not going to find 300 threats linen on the Bed, but it is great for the price. Did I mentioned the best coffee in Sofia? Just some times the barista didn't understood when I asked for a "Latte"…

Budget hotel. A quick stop over for two nights only. Nonetheless it warrants some pointers. Breakfast is only a selection of pate, jam and honey, ham with three slices of toast, a yoghurt and tea or coffee for 4 EUR. It fills the gap. However breakfast only starts at 7h30, thats not good if you intend on heading off for the day earlier...no lunchbox. The rooms are tidy but I had a really bad, soft matress. Otherwise location is good, close to airport and to find somewhere to eat in the area is not a problem.

I much prefer Ganesha to the nearby Best Western. The rooms are small but large enough and very clean. The price is low and the service is good. The hotel is quiet and the staff is friendly. There are good restaurants within walking distance. It is an easy 8 km drive to the airport. This was our 3rd stay there.
