Due to not booking in advance, my first choice hotel was full. A quick call and I was booked into the Ganesha. I was welcomed and booked in trouble free. The hotel looked resonably new. My room was small but did not require anything more and it had all you needed and clean. The corridors are narrow with many doors to pass through, but a lift is available. The reception area has a pleasant bar cafe. The price was excellant. There are a number of bars and restaurants close by. It takes about 12/15 minutes to the airport or central bus station. I will stay again.

I much prefer Ganesha to the nearby Best Western.

The rooms are small but large enough and very clean. The price is low and the service is good. The hotel is quiet and the staff is friendly.

There are good restaurants within walking distance. It is an easy 8 km drive to the airport.

This was our 3rd stay there.

We have stayed at Ganesha (Kibella is their new name) many times, and we have been quite happy with our stay each time. The staff are polite and helpful, the room is clean and comfortable.
The hotel is not really central but located a short walking distance away from a bus stop with many buses that connect you to the centre of town, and is quiet both during the day and the night.
The only thing that's caused problems so far is that to get to some rooms you need to go up and down narrow staircases, which was difficult with heavy suitcases.
Wi-Fi works well, but breakfast could be included in the room price.

If you're on a tight budget and you don't mind small poky rooms the this hotel will probably do. The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. Toweling is clean but threadbare. No restaurant and the so called Lobby Bar is never open. Breakfast consists of processed cheese and meat with white bread - no selection, you get what is served. Coffee at least is good. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Quite small hotel not too far from the centre. The rooms are average level - normal. Near the hotel is nonstop market (shop). Generally the location is not bad. The service of the hotel is a bit low, but not bad. The price of the rooms is quite acceptable.

We've stayed at the hotel many times, mostly because of its location (a short taxi ride from the airport, not far from the city center) but I can say it's always been a kind of compromise with comfortability and service. The rooms are very small (even smaller than in a parisian hotel!), with old-looking textiles, often with cigarette smell. I'm surprised people rate service so high - maybe we always fall on the same receptionist... Last time we arrived late in the evening without reservation and asked for a double room but got a "business double room" which is, of course, more expensive than an ordinary double room but despite this the beds were very uncomfortable.

This is good hotel, comfortable and with a good wi-fi. It is not downtown but not far from the very central part of Sofia (you can walk - it takes about half a hour). There are markets and nice restaurants in the area.

I stayed in Ganesha with two other female friends. We booked the small apartment in order to be confortable. We visited Sofia in order to attend a music festival in Arena Armeeca. Ganesha seemed like a great place to stay in order to be close to the Arena. It was a short trolley ride to the event (3-4 stops away) but also a convinient location to visit the city centre. Trolley lines 5 and 8 just around the corner were easy to use. Of course if your main purpose is to visit the city centre, then I guess a city centre hotel would be a better choice.
Hotel was clean and towels were daily changed.Bathroom was also clean and big. Our bed was really confortable. Two of us slept on beds and the third person slept on the sofa bed which was fine.
Staff was really friendly and helped us with trasportation options. They were also really kind to give me some milk (I was quite hungry at night after the festival).
The rooms are simply decorated (not really modern) and the furniture was in a good condition.
There was not any street noise and the neighborhood was quite (3-4 hotels were on the same road).
We didn't try their breakfast and we can't comment on this.
It would be a 4 rating stay if there wasn't one issue. The issue was that our room had a cigarette smell. I guess some previous visitor(s) had been smoking and the carpets and curtains had been infused with the smell.
I'm sorry to give only a 3. I think a 3.5 would reflect our experience. It was good value for money but the smell really annoyed us.

I came here for several timesin the last 6 months. It is very easy to reach it as one of the main roads (Tsarigradsko shose) is next to the hotel. If you come from the airport, a taxi costs around 7-8 leva (10 leva with tips = 5 Euro) and the trip from airport lasts 10 min. From here the center is very close (5-10 min by Taxi) or you can walk 10-15min to the closest metro station. Regarding the hotel - it costs around 30 Eur per night (single). The rooms are clean and everyday they change the towels + refill shampoo. The rooms look a little bit old but are comfortable enough. Also, they have A/C, minibar (one cola/beer is 1.5 leva, a chocolate is 4 leva), heating over the winter season and wifi free in all room. The breakfast is similar everyday, but good enough: it has a coffee/tea, jam, honey, bread/croissants, a fruit, some ham. The hotel employees are very very friendly and supportive.

"Some rooms are close to ground level. I'd avoid these as the cleaner seemed to want to leave the bathroom window open each day which was big enough for an unwanted visitor to climb through. The area seemed safe but better safe than sorry."
