The swimming pool, jacuzzi/s, sauna and steam bath area of the hotel are the best in Sofia! They meet the world's standards - very clean, always in a proper shape, nice ambiance, good air and water quality. There is also an outdoor space and jacuzzi under the sun in the summer. Thereception staff and the Manager are incredibly friendly, smiling, hospitable and meeting the needs of the clients where requested. A highly recommended place for relaxation and swimming!
We had such a fantastic stay at this hotel which we booked for a leisure break to Sofia. The hotel is a 5 star hotel which you don’t find often for a holiday inn and the service was absolutely superb in each outlet. There are great offers in the restaurant such as a buffet with local dishes each Tuesday which offered a great selection. The restaurant staff is also very knowledgeable and professional, so highly recommended. I would also recommend using the spa facilities with its sauna, steam room, pool and gym. Quietest time for us was at 9pm, perfect time after coming back from a day trip. Bedrooms are also a very good size, modern and clean and very quiet. The tram is a 10 minute walk away (station called business park) and has great connections to the city centre with £2 a day ticket. All in all a fantastic hotel for any occasion.…
The room was ok, polite staff, clean room, wifi perfect, but SPA center was really noisy and it was like playground. Not good for hotel with 5 stars who offer spa for relaxing and there are 5 chairs, towels on them but one hour nobody use them, children all around screaming while they are using the pool with parents. If it is Spa it is place for relax, if it is aqua park than they should say that. Except the spa hotel is ok, away from traffic, in business area.
I was really surprised on arriving at a holiday Inn hotel in Sofia. It was a True 5 star hotel with award winning spa and swimming pool, excellent staff, great food and just a short distance to the metro which is so easy to work out. A day ticket on the trains and trams is £2 return. Sofia is amazing (see photos inc the mountains) and out of town it’s the best kept secret with prices from 20 years ago. I can’t wait to travel back. I also had an amazing private tour lady called Marina, that made my trip. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else it has to be the holiday inn, as I also value it being quiet and had great service from the staff.
The holiday Inn chain is usually a simple hotel chain but very professional and nice. This property also lived upto its expectations. We arrived at the hotel by noon and there was not much of a queue at the check in. It took longer time than expected which was a bit different. If at all there was one thing that I felt out of place in this hotel, it is this check in process. The room allotted to me was a suite room or an executive room which I cannot remember. The only difference between this and the standard room was a was was couch and a plate of chocolates. Being a business hotel, no complaints about the room. Pretty clean with all standard amenities like coffee machine, hair dryer, iron board, TV, minibar, etc The restaurant was a bit small however the breakfast spread was pretty good. did not have lunch or dinner here and hence no comments. The hotel is within a business park premises and hence there is quiet a lot of other restaurants within walkable distance. Plenty of ATM nearby but please exercise caution and always withdraw money from one inside a building. This was a specific advice from the hotel reception. The gym was pretty big. There were 5 jogging machines and a lot of other amenities apart from a temperature controlled pool. The Bulgaria ring mall is pretty close to the hotel and the hotel reception can call a taxi for you. That was a nice place to spend time. Overall a good stay.…
