Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

I was charged over £600 for 3 extra nights, having been there for the previous 2. A Saturday through a Monday. Then booked Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. My flight was on Friday. I looked and looked at how much it would cost, and nothing came to over £300. It's Romania, what can you do

My resrervation was made a long time ago, but I was given a room for desabled persons without beeing asked. Plus it was an inside room, facing an atrium, which means that there are no windows you can open without beeing seen from accross or from anyone passing by the corridor of the hotel's floor. The room had also an inside door (obviously locked) that comunicates with the next room. That, plus the fact that the walls are very thin, anything said or done from any guest of one of the rooms could annoy the guests of the other room. If you can be heard and seen, that meens you have no privacy. The fridge was not working. Neither was the hair dryer. All the above was the description of the room 401. Avoid at any cost, unless you are person with special needs and you want someone to take care of you next door. During check out, they tried to charge us with something we never had. But this may not be the fault of the hotel management necessarily. Cleaning was ok. Breakfast was also ok. We even asked for a basket the day we were supposed to live earlier and we got one. Service was good. I noticed a little difficulty in speaking english, but we got this over. A highligh: One of the ladies in the reception is extremely professional, speaks english fluenftly and is very efficient in problem solving without being forced to. I think she needs a pay rise. The hotel is very well lockated, at the eldge of the old and the new town, near the metro and bus station. To sum up, this is not a four star worth hotel whatsoever. However, if you book this hotel, it is a good idea to combine it with a reservation in Hanu lui Manuc resturant at your first day, because it is literally at the next corner.

The hotel is lovely, the staff very professional, helpful and friendly. Breakfast has a great selection of hot and cold food The rooms are spacious with flat screen TV,tea making facilities, small fridge and a nice size shower room. The location is ideal for the sights, bars and restaurants in the old town. The only reason I haven't given it a 5 is the heat of our rooms the Aircon wouldn't switch to cool air leaving the room temperature around 30dgs,I complained at reception to which I was told it didn't work until later on in the year, they offered to move us to a front view room so we could open the window to cool off the room but it would have really noisy until the early hours so we declined. But we really enjoyed our stay at the Europa Royale and if we ever return to Bucharest this is where we would stay.

Very good location, near old town and near the bus station to the airport .Spacefull and clean room , but very very hot. Even though we had turned off the heating still the room had 26 Celsium degrees at the end of February ! The staff was very nice and helpfull , the breakfast was ordinary as expected from 4star hotel (cold and hote buffet) not such a big variety . I would recommend to ask for a room with street view , as ours had inner view ( in the hotel) and there was a passage for guests just in front of our window .

Booked this hotel expecting a great standard as per its four star rating I booked a room with a balcony On arrival all balcony rooms were taken therefor I was allocated a deluxe suite on fifth floor The suite had clearly not be in usage often as it had not been cleaned properly Dusted nor floor swept with an abundance of hair on the floor It also had a previous residents clothing in one of the cupboards Not a great start Went down to reception to advise but was given short shrift by the young man on duty that night The hotel is well situated near to the river and within walking distance of The Old Town It is also in the area most populated by vagrants/beggars etc who could be observed at all hours going through the hotels outside ashtrays looking for cig ends Breakfast was ok with a varied selection from English to Continental Fresh towels/water daily if requested Back to the beggars Rather disconcerting when having breakfast someone outside staring at you having written LEU on his hand (money) Not pleasant All in an average hotel who require to sort issues both inside and out It looks the part as per my photos Do not be deceived !

We came to bucharest Nov.30 at 11 am for 3 nights. As we arrived we were welcomed by the reception personnel (we initiate our stay by sales manager Ionut Amza) that treated us very polite, he managed to help us with a nice cityview room that was facing the plaza and a part of the old city. The room was nice size equipped with all we needed, safe, fridge, nice clean bath, small little balcony. The dbl glazed windows blocked the noise (if any) and kept the heat inside. The breakfast was perfect, all you need and more... Kinds of coffee, fruits, verity of hot food, juices and more. As we walked out of the hotel we were in the old city. Minutes from everywhere shops, restaurants, bars, clubs and more so when we were tired from walking and partying, few minutes we were in bed. We promised ourselves to check in the hotel next time we're in town

Hotel provides ear plugs - you'll need them. A solid 3 star, rooms ok - nothing special, note showering in the bath tub is treacherous: deep, slanted side and no grip. Hundreds of old town restaurants and bars nearby, including at least one with thumping music until 2 am. Uber stop not far.
