The Staff, Hotel, and Restaurant Exceeded My Expectations! Well done. It was an easy Uber from the Airport to the hotel. The rooms and bathrooms are clean with good quality sheets, pillows, and towels Room service changed put towels daily. The staff were ALL friendly, courteous, professional, and helpful. We chose to stay in Old Town with its walkable, cobble stone streets closed to traffic. There are literally dozens of restaurants to choose from within minutes of the hotel. The best kept secret no one mentioned on reviews is the hotel restaurant: it's fantastic . Definitely order the breakfast buffet add on with the room when you book. My old school buddy joined me on this trip. He is a real "foody" from England and picky about his food. He was impressed too: kudos to the chef and staff. I personally congratulated all the staff. I actually experimented by comparing the most expensive mixed grill entrée at a packed local restaurant around the corner a few blocks and the next night ordered the same entrée at Royale Europa: Europa's Chef won hands down. The price was the same: 105 Ronas. The quality of the meat (steak, lamb, chicken, Romanian sausage) and the cooking was light years better as was the wine and the service. I have lived in 8 countries, traveled to 50, and usually stay at nice hotels. You get a 4 to a 5 star experience here at a very fair price. And let me repeat: the breakfast buffet was 2nd to none. I fell in love with Romania and it's people and food. Definitely will stay at this hotel on my next trip. I'm not good with names but got a few written down of the very impressive staff (and all the staff did an impressive job): Alex at the desk, and Alexandria in the restaurant. (Here's an extra tip: there is a modern 2 level discount drug store next to the hotel with all the personal care items, snacks, Combs, etc if you forget something on your flight).

The hotel stuff are very friendly, accomodating and they all speak English. Rooms are very clean with a very lovely view towards the historical city. The location of the hotel is right in the heart of Bucharest and offers a very unique atmosphere for everyone who would like to enjoy a good meal along with a glass of wine. Special thanks to all the stuff who looked after me and my well being.

Great reasonably priced hotel. Staff were friendly and welcoming.
Rooms were clean and we had a view overlooking the busy square which we enjoyed. This hotel was centrally located in the old town area which had a great choice of restaurants and bars.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting Bucharest. The location is convenient and central, nearby the Old Town with good transport links (Uber, Metro etc). Staff were great on the whole, beds were comfy and breakfast good (continental with some hot food items). There is a large smart TV in each room with a minibar and large enough rooms for a few nights stay.

On arrival I was given a room that was unprepared with rubbish on the floor and bedding not made which wasn't a great start. I understand mistakes do happen but no apology nor gesture was given other than this happens and accept it. After 20 minutes this was sorted. Another issue was that the hotel is ridiculously hot, my room shown 28 degrees with no way of reducing. I asked at reception but was told that air con isn't available and to reduce I'd need to turn the heating off, crazy!

This hotel has the potential to be 4 stars but on my visit sadly it struggled to scrape 3.. I hope that this will change for the benefit of future stays and for other guests.

I can only give3* for two reasons. The first is because the mattress on my bed was horribly soft and made of cheap foam. The second is because the loud sounds of the piped music and the voices of guests rose up from the large lobby/atrium to the many bedrooms which looked on to this area. Very badly designed. My room was never quiet, whether my window was open or closed. In addition, there was the constant unpleasant low drone of piped disco music throughout breakfast. The rooms in the hotel resemble Ibis rooms. But there are plus points. WiFi everywhere is very good and the hotel public areas and my room were spotlessly clean. There is a good buffet breakfast with fresh fruit and salads as well as cold and hot dishes. The restaurant manager and his waitresses work hard, unlike the lazy (male waiter who showed little interest in his work and his customers. Reception staff are efficient and cleaning staff are very good. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from the excellent 783 bus to and from the airport.

This was my third visit to Bucharest and my first stay at the Europa Royale although I was aware of it having taken Gray Line sightseeing tours from this point in the past. The hotel is very well situated about two minutes from the airport bus terminus and Unirii metro station. It is on the entrance to the Old Town with all its restaurants and bars but bear in mind this is the livelier part of town. On this occasion I ate out at the Saray Turkish restaurant and Stadio sport restaurant - both very good - but I did have the buffet breakfast in the hotel where the choice was very pleasing for an English person (bacon, scrambled or fried eggs, toast, fruit, yoghurt, patisserie etc) and the service very friendly, the young lady going out of her way to use her knowledge of English to ask me about my day. My bedroom was comfortable and clean. It took me a little while to get used to the eco friendly corridor lighting which could be a bit slow to react to movement but this is a safe hotel with a useful bar and seating in its covered courtyard. Starbucks and a number of independent coffee shops as well as baker’s shops, supermarkets, chemists and Unirii shopping mall are all nearby. As a solo traveller I have always found Bucharest safe and have been out walking after midnight and in the early hours. Besides all the tourist sights (I recommend the Palace, the Ceaucescu Home, the many parks but especially Herestrau, the Village Museum with all its houses, Therme spa, Obor fruit market, the Communist walking tour, the summer fountains show in Unirii and even the Kitsch Museum!) I have called in at Teahouse 5 on Olympia Street the other side of Unirii for tea, a beer or just to sit in their garden or enjoy a game of Scrabble, also they have open mics, games nights etc which enables locals and internationals to meet up.

We stayed for 4 nights at a street facing room (this was at a higher price of an Atrium room).
It took pressure on the staff to move us to a quiet room. That was an atrium room, which has no window and was very hot.
There is no A/C in this hotel, it is only heated (to 30 degrees!)We were moved to an atrium room
The bar across the steer had loud music and the windows definitely are not sounds proof.
The room was spacious, the bed lower than normal.
Breakfast is OK. Eggs and beacon are cold even when we arrived early.
You could definitely do better.

‏One of the worst hotels in Bucharest in terms of the treatment of the receptionist and room service. I booked three rooms for two nights, and since I entered the hotel and spoke with the receptionist Bogdan, the reception method is inappropriate for a four-star hotel and in a very rude manner and with loud screaming. I entered my room and discovered that the air conditioner was not working and the room was very hot. When I called the receptionist Bogdan, he shouted loudly and told me that the maintenance employee was not present and could not change the room because the hotel was fully booked.

‏And then I went down to the reception, where he shouted loudly and the other employee spoke to him to force him not to shout in front of the guests and employees loudly. I would not recommend trying the hotel at all as the hotel does not live up to four stars. I deliberately called the customer service in Booking. They called the hotel to change my room as it was very hot outside and changed my room to a worse room and treated me very badly.

‏And when I requested to cancel the reservation, he told me that the amount is not refundable and you can leave the hotel immediately. The hotel is very uncomfortable and the receptionist is rude and shouts loudly in front of the staff and guests. One of the worst experiences ever in Bucharest and I would not recommend booking this hotel at all.

The hotel is lovely, the staff very professional, helpful and friendly.
Breakfast has a great selection of hot and cold food
The rooms are spacious with flat screen TV,tea making facilities, small fridge and a nice size shower room.
The location is ideal for the sights, bars and restaurants in the old town.
The only reason I haven't given it a 5 is the heat of our rooms the Aircon wouldn't switch to cool air leaving the room temperature around 30dgs,I complained at reception to which I was told it didn't work until later on in the year, they offered to move us to a front view room so we could open the window to cool off the room but it would have really noisy until the early hours so we declined.
But we really enjoyed our stay at the Europa Royale and if we ever return to Bucharest this is where we would stay.

I wish you guys can offer a 0 rating. I did stay at the hotel for a couple of days, and as I sure many of us have forgotten a couple of things. Being at a supposedly classy hotel, the amenities left an unfortunate stain on the whole experience. There were no toothbrushes at the front desk. I asked for some lotion (dehydration from along flight) and it was not available. The hotel was also have some technical issues with charging things to the room. I was not told this, I would assume it's part of regular customer service, but still had to pay full price regardless. I do however give the cleaner and the amazing people at the restaurant 5+++++++ stars. They made my experience bearable. Thanks guys

Hi I saw on -1 floor the casino, it is small casino, only slot machines no poker table or roulette . If you want big casinos you should go to Raddison blu or to Marriott. 2.5 lei min on the roulette, there are also roulettes in euro .
