A good cheap hostel which is well located, staff are friendly & helpful. The hostel is basic, but is great if you are on a limited budget, so you pay for what you get. Breakfast again is basic but is included in the price. Would recommend.

The hostel is run by very friendly staff, offers bike rentals, includes breakfast, has racks for drying clothes and felt safe. The breakfast is slightly limited (only has toast, one choice of spread (strawberry jam), yogurt, cream cheese, and biscuits) but otherwise it is a nice place to stay. Pro-tip: the map given out has errors according to locals. Definitely...

We came in Explorers Hostel for a solidarity based travel. In charge of 20 people, I picked up the place via internet before our arrival. I did not know much about Romania and I was a bit sceptical considering the price of the night. Nevertheless, it was a very good surprise. The place is well located, the staff quite welcoming...

Nice, cheap hostel located near picturesque Cismigiu Park. The staff was friendly and ready to give any information you need. The room I was staying was spacious and clean, as well as the bathroom. The kitchen area, however, looks as if wasn't cleaned properly for months, the cooker hood was covered with the grime, as well as other pieces of...

I chose the Explorer's Hostel to be near Gare de Nord, the main train station. As it turned out, I was also able to catch a long distance bus out of Gare de Nord back to Frankfurt, Germany. The hostel is waling distance to downtown area and supermarket, and restaurants. The dorms and commond areas are spacious. The WiFi is...

Explorers Hostel is probably one of the cheapest in Bucharest, but unfortunately you get what you pay for. There was a routine pest cleaning soon after I left the hostel, and I left with arms covered in bites after only one night's stay. I hadn't had any insect bites in the rest of the week I'd been staying in a...

I have stayed in a few hostels in Bucharest, and they have all been nice, but there are two things I especially liked about Explorers Hostel. First, the location was perfect. It is about halfway between the train station and the old town, so it's easy to get to and easy to go everywhere you want to go after you...

Clean, free wifi and breakfast, great bathrooms... can't go wrong. Walking distance to Old Town and the train station. Christian and Rodney had directions, maps and recommendations for any request. We stated in the four-bed unit and had plenty of space. Do it to it, Lars!

..enter the hostel's lobby, that on some evenings seems to be the living room of a colourful international family rather than a hostel's reception room. You can book private rooms as well as cheap dorms, use the kitchen and get to know the friendly staff, who invest a lot of personal energy aaand multicultural spirit in that place. Also in...

“I saw that a very small room with just one bunk bed only had a curtain instead of a door. Don't know what this shows up as when booking. There are rooms right off the reception area but it is quite there at night.”
