I had the hotel make the taxi booking, I think they charged me $15USD. I would not take a random taxi in Managua.

The building layout is essentially in the shape of a large "U", with all rooms (except one) along the sides of the "U" and the building entrance, lobby/dining area at the bottom of the "U". I think they're doing some construction of that one room exception right now to enlarge it, so yes all rooms opens onto the courtyard. In the courtyard is a fountain with flowers/shrubs and beyond a nice large walled-in grassy area and pool, and a small place off to the side with several exercise machines. Though the rooms open to the courtyard, it really is just the door that opens; I don't recall seeing any windows facing the courtyard (though I could be wrong). Inside each room is a window or french door that opens onto a very small (and not very attractive) courtyard of it's own. I've stayed at Los Robles twice and will be going back again in a few months. For me, the rooms are comfortable and adequate if I want to write or read something, but they're not a place where I would sit and linger looking out at the courtyard. To enjoy the outdoors I'd sit in the area by the pool or in the lobby/dining area. Incidentally, wi-fi does not seem to work in the rooms, only in the lobby/dining area.

We had room 1 which had its own private patio area but was in the road. To get a room by the pool area I would suggest you email the hotel and put a request in. The staff spoke good English and we found them very helpful although we were only there for 1 night. Gill
