Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a small but breezily efficient and welcoming hotel in the city centre - and, as its name suggests, right across the street from the sprawling and rather wonderful city park. The rooms are small and a bit of a squeeze but newly redecorated and well equipped. They lack a desk and chair but there is plenty of space in the lobby and two dining areas to sit and work: many others are doing the same. The food is excellent, with a wide breakfast choice which appears to change daily (with a wider selection when the hotel is busiest, which makes sense). There is the option of full/half board with a good choice of set menu, but the a la carte menu choice is even wider. Food is freshly cooked and of a very high standard. Best of all, the staff are friendly and always ready to help, whether with local information or installing a local SIM card. I was worried that 8 days in a small city hotel would wear me down, but not a bit of it: I really enjoyed my stay at the City Park and would choose to come back in a heartbeat.

This hotel is ok for a short stay but I was surprised by the such positive reviews. The location is very good and the communal areas felt nice and modern but the room itself (Junior Suite) was very basic and dated, definitely not as nice as it looked in the pictures, and not especially clean. We found the service on reception to be unfriendly at times too. Overall a bit of a disappointment and felt overpriced at MKD 7,000 per night.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the City Park in Skopje, couldn’t have gone any better. The location is great, just across the street from the beautiful city park and close to the river cycleways. It was only about a 20 minute walk (5 minute bike) into the heart of the city and Old Bazaar area. There are tons of cafes, restaurants, shops, and convenience stores within a few hundred meters of the hotel. The staff were wonderful! Reception was very friendly and we were fortuitously allowed an early check-in as well as an upgrade to a suite. We would like to single out the super friendly and helpful Mary who helped to make our stay thoroughly enjoyable. Our room was amazing – very large, bright, and airy, very clean and modern. We had a large sitting area leading out to a balcony overlooking the park. The Wifi and TV worked great as did the little minibar. We had a hard time controlling the AC and couldn’t really get the room as cold as we wanted at night. The king-size bed was very comfortable and we had a good sleep – there was a little bit of road noise but nothing excessive. The onsite restaurant was excellent! One of the best restaurants we found in Macedonia. We ended up eating most of our meals there. Service was fast and friendly. The free breakfast was excellent as well – really a good start to the day. The only criticism I can offer is that the free bicycles they provide for guests were a bit old and in not-so-good condition. We used them and had quite a few mechanical problems. The bike fleet could use updating. In any case, we had an excellent stay and would definitely recommend this place as a great base for your stay in Skopje.

I am a regular visitor to this place. Not only have I stayed n the hotel, I regularly take a break from my apartment for a change of scenery and work in the lobby, I have my usual spot. The staff and management are lovely. I meant to write a review because I have been visiting regularly since May of 2021. But today, I have a special mention of their 1 million % commitment to service and support; on Friday, 16.12.22, I misplaced my passport for an evening. The staff contacted the police and consulate because they could not get hold of me. I visited the police station to file a report and was informed that the hotel had found my passport. The stress level was high until the good news - emergency travel etc... A special thank you to Elena (who I think lives there these days :-) - always there when I am). However, the thank you also goes to all the staff and management. Once again, Elena, big hugs; you saved the day for me. I am very grateful. Cheers

What an exceptional waitress that works in the restaurant. Her name is Daniela and she is so warm and welcoming and sooo polite. We loved her and the fact that the food was amazing topped the whole experience!!! We had the chicken wings and pulled pork burgers with a few salads. Great food and exceptional service!! Wish I could take Daniela back with us to Australia!! She was a gem!!! Give her a raise because this is why we are going back!!! Lola and her boys from OZ!!!

Located a short walk from the city centre, the hotel is clean and very well appointed. Great comfy bed and super clean bathroom. Breakfast is buffet style with a good choice on offer. Bar and restaurant on the ground floor is a good option if you don’t want to walk back to the city centre. Opposite a park if you want a breath of fresh air.

This gem of a hotel is located directly across from a popular park and within a 15 minute walk of the plaza at the center of Skopje, but don't miss the gentrifying, quirky surrounding neighborhood in favor of the more touristy areas. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance, including the mysterious Speakeasy. The lobby is a beautiful, modern design and seems to be a popular meeting spot. The restaurant is absolutely excellent. In addition to the award-winning burgers, there's a wide variety of excellent Macedonian and international dishes served in a cleverly designed space. The breakfast is abundant. Each day features a different borek. The room is minimalist, but clean, modern and functional. I found plenty of outlets for my electronic devices. The lighting is good, and there's a nice rainwater shower. The bed is comfortable and the rooms have individual temperature control. There was one peculiarity -- the soap is in a dispenser on a wall next to the sink and pretty much inaccessible from the shower. I would highly recommend staying here.

My family and I stayed here and were pleasantly surprised with the service and room. The inside of the hotel is dark and boxy but the rooms are spacious. The AC/Heating unit is extremely loud. The restaurant is good but overpriced but service is great.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights. The room had everything I needed (e.g., lock box, comfortable bed and pillows, black out curtains, plenty of electric plugs, strong internet, etc.) and was quite pleasant, modern, and clean. Moreover, the staff were nice and helpful and the restaurant was good (great hamburgers, nice salads). The location was also a fairly short walk to downtown.
