Our stay at The White Elephant can only be summed up as "perfect." We chose this hotel based on it's convenient location and fantastic reputation, and we were not at all disappointed. The service was impeccable, from the moment we were picked up from the ferry, to the front desk, concierge, servers and room attendants. Rooms are spacious and clean, with the Nantucket charm that you'd expect from a luxury resort. The Concierge shared recommendations that were on point, and ensured we were exposed to all the hidden secrets of the island. The complimentary bicycles allowed us to explore more than we could do on foot, and the location, just a quick walk to town, was invaluable for shopping and dining. We will definitely be bACK and cannot wait to return to The White Elephant!

I stayed at The White Elephant Hotel for a week last October and everything about the experience was truly sensational. I was fortunate enough to choose a week that just so happened to provide 70 degree perfect weather for the duration of the stay. I would not hesitate to return for another visit and the experience was so positive I look forward to trying out their new location at West Palm Beach . Room Quality- The room was beautifully furnished with a modern touch while providing a Nantucket vibe. Bathrooms were large, updated with all the “good stuff” that anyone would ever need. The bed was of the highest quality as expected. Cleanliness of the room was pristine and perfectly maintained by housekeeping during the stay. Service- Seamless top notch service from check in to check out . The staff is well trained and what became most apparent is that they all enjoy what they do. Everyone was friendly and courteous with smiles all around. Thank you to all for a job well done. Location- The location and views are waterside breathtaking. No more words needed here. Two minute walk to town where all the shops and restaurants are located . Shuttle service is also provided but I would skip that and enjoy the walk . On Site Dining- Located on premises, Brant Point Grill serves breakfast, lunch and dinner along with a bar menu that carries throughout the day . The dining room is located outside with harbor views and sunsets to die for. The menu has something for everyone, including day boat seafood as well as top notch cuts of beef and plate composed specials . Nantucket has always been a favorite family destination and the White Elephant Resort takes the experience to a new level. Putting aside the the exquisite suites and property (which you can see in photos), the exceptional service and attention to detail is what makes this property a 10+. Even during a difficult travel period due to Covid, the resort spared nothing to ensure guests felt comfortable. The local is idea with easy walking into town or a stroll by the water/lighthouse. Can't wait to visit again! Thanks for a memorable experience.

Absolutely beautiful! My family and I enjoyed four nights at the White Elephant last July. We were impressed by the attention to cleanliness and extra steps taken by the staff to ensure everyone’s safety during Covid. The staff is top notch always anticipating our needs. We traveled with our toddler and the attention and genuine friendliness towards children was heartwarming. With so many dining options on Nantucket we ended up dining at Brandt Point Grill two of the four nights - it was so delicious we had to go back! Will definitely return. I can’t imagine visiting Nantucket and not staying at the White Elephant.

LOVE the white elephant! my family and i spent 3 days last summer and enjoyed every minute the hotel is a true gem in a perfect location close to the harbor and with a very professional team who makes you feel very appreciated and welcome everything and every detail was perfect: the shuttle that picks you up, the morning run by the nearby beach and lighthouse, the wonderful restaurant, the sun beds facing the harbor, the lovely swimming pool and its delicious menu, the free bikes to tour the beautiful island, the cozy and chic room with the most comfortable bed, the cute small shop we left our heart there and will definitely be back!

Thank you for reaching out! The weather in April and May is perfect for exploring the island! In fact, the last weekend in April is Daffodil Weekend, (27th, 28th), which is one of my personally favorite times to be here. We have many expecting parents that opt to stay with us due to the safety and ease of travel without the need to go too far. The restaurant scene on Nantucket is amazing. Our pre-arrival concierge team will be able to book some great meals for you. It is really difficult not to enjoy the restaurants here, even if you cant partake in the wine portion!
Since exploring the island by bike may not be the best idea, I would recommend renting a car for a day while here to explore the island. Maybe on the other days, the short walk to town would be wonderful. We also have our courtesy cars that can drop you off in town.
Rest easy, our wine and cheese also features some hard cheeses, so you can still enjoy your afternoon in our library!
I would recommend that you contact our reservations team at 1 800 ISLANDS to talk through some options that you are comfortable with.

Checkout is at 11AM. We store bags after that and many of our guests choose to leave on later flights or ferries and enjoy a few more hours of Nantucket!

There is not a swimming pool here at the Hotel, although we are right on the Harbor and across from Children's beach. If a pool is very important to you, then we would suggest our sister property, the White Elephant Village, which does have a pool for its guests only. I hope this helps!
