Had the pleasure of staying here for 3 nights. The staff that are employed here are fantastic and so helpful with everything. Lovely atmosphere. Great location. Would highly recommend it to anyone young or old traveling to Antigua.

Couldn't think about any complaint. Clean dorms and showers, super-helpful and friendly staff and really relaxing atmosphere. Plus the excellent breakfast (around 8 options to choose from) is included. Maybe not the cheapest hostel but absolute value for money!!

We stopped here for breakfast on one of our days in Antigua. The service was fast and friendly. We had the eggs, served as ordered! The smoothies were also a great addition. Nice thing too about this hostel is it accepts credit cards which can give a better rate then the exchange places in Guatemala.

Dorms were fine, was a little shocked at the price of private rooms here. Staff were initially very friendly, but after we booked volcano tour elsewhere that changed. Hostel charges 200q for volcano tour while we got ours for 150 elsewhere. And it was exactly the same tour as other guests did the tour with us. It was similar for... More

We had a nice stay here. The room was a bit dark, but big. The beds were comfortable. The shared showers and toilets were clean with good hot water and pressure. Breakfast was okay. We had to cut our trip one day short and there was no problem with the hostel staff. They charged us for one night even though... More

Such a nice hostel! They pride themselves on good food, a chilled out atmosphere and clean rooms/showers. Staff are helpful and laid back. Here may be a wee bit more expensive than other hostels but its worth it!

We enjoyed the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff at el hostel. The private room however did not meet our expectations. It seemed overpriced for what it was. Q288 for 3 single beds. Loud music blared in from a nearly club until 1:00-2:00am in the morning. It was nice that the courtyard music at El Hostal was turned off at... More

We stayed in a private room. Was lovely and big with comfy beds. The staff are lovely. We booked a tour to Volcan Acatenango through the hostel for a reasonable price and even rented a jacket and 2 pairs of gloves for about £5. The hostel is one of the more expensive in Antigua for backpackers but the included breakfast... More

One of the best hostel you can find. Nice, very clean, helpful staff. There's really nothing bad to say about the hostel. The only reason I'm giving four stars is that in some rooms you can hear pretty clearly the music that comes from the bar in the front of the street, until late in the evening. Just bring your...
