Visited on 1st of May for my 50th birthday. The apartment was lovely with a fully equipped kitchen and bathroom with great power shower. 200 channels on the tv which turned out to be effective as it rained continuously for first two days. Only 200 meters to the port and Main Street and 50 meters to a well stocked supermarket. The owner marija couldn't do enough to ensure you have everything you need and even bought me a bottle of wine for my birthday. Very comfortable beds. Great central location and highly recommended if visiting this wonderful city......

This apartment is ideal if what you want is a base for a holiday in Dubrovnick.
Firstly our booking direct by email to Marija was staight forward; we had to change our dates due to airline scheduling problem and Marija handled our booking change efficiently and without quibble. Our arrival from the airport via taxi - dont try the buses with luggage! - was easy and our reception warm. The apartment location is good - no views to die for - but no ugly distractions. There is a convenient shop plus restaurant and an easy short walk to beach, harbour and more restaurants in Lapads main pedestian parade.
Dubrovnick Old Town via no 6 bus from Lapad is very interesting lots of pretty good restaurants and the atmosphere in the 'ages old' narrow streets is memorable. A must in any visit to the old town is a trip up the cable car, the view is fantastic, an hour enjoying the view from the the cafe at the top is wonderful.
There are lots of people selling 'expensive' trips to islands but with food included, we tried one, enjoyed it, but, we found that a ferry for tourists and locals to Lopud Island was much cheaper.
The ferry runs from the main harbour jetty next to where the cruise liners dock. Upon landing at Lopud harbour take a golf buggy 'taxi'- I'm not kidding - to a lovely sandy beach on the other side of the island 1 mile walk OK if you are fit!
In all, our stay at Artemis Apartments was very good and I can recommend it. There are better larger apartments with better location but this is very good value and my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will stay here again if we return to Dubrovnick.

I've always wanted to come to Dubrovnik but the cost for accommodation especially for 10 days is so expensive and we were never going to get a hotel / apartment with a pool and not based up a steep hill.

We decided to look outwith the old City and Lapad was a perfect base for us and more affordable. Location selected, next was the accommodation. Ok I didn't really need a pool as the beach was nearby. Artemis apartments was central and received excellent reviews so that was enough for me to book. I booked through booking.com but please book directly as it will be cheaper.

The apartment owners couldn't have been nicer. Nino collected us from the airport and Marija gave us a whistle stop guide of the apartment and area giving us her recommendations.

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment (no 3) which has a sunny terrace in the afternoon. Possibly the best apartment I have stayed in. It looked brand new with a power shower, comfy bed, kitchenette and air-con (much needed as it was 30c+). Plenty of towels and complementary supplies in both the kitchen and bathroom. Outside, it is very peaceful and there is a sun lounger, table and chairs with a BBQ, iron & ironing board and a clothes horse to dry any wet clothes.

The location of the apartment surprised me. Within a couple of minutes walk, you could find the bus stop to and from the Old City, there was a small shop directly opposite the apartment and just past the bus stop is a pedestrianised area where you can find a lot of restaurant and bars. There is also a path opposite which takes you to the main road by the soon to be built marina.

Lapad has a rocky coastline so you won't find a sandy beach here or perhaps anywhere. We tried Lapad beach once but we much preferred Copacabana beach and Coral Beach club. You can take the no 6 bus up to the last stop in Babin Kuk but we walked which took about 20-30 mins in the coastal path.

I hope to come back one day and wouldn't stay anywhere else. I would highly recommend a short and long term stay here.

The apartment was excellent. Super neat and clean and the owner was super nice. Very good location for restaurants, the beach and transportation to the old city (Bus 6). Would highly recommend Artemis Apartments...you won't be disappointed!

This is one of the very best apartments we ever visited. It is ideally situated in Lapad, about 3 km. from the entrance of Dubrovnik. The house has 4 apartments on the ground floor, with the best wifi I ever had. Two at the front and two at the rear. The owners do live at the first floor and are very keen to guard your privacy. They are very, very helpful in responding to your questions or needs.
Before the house there is a parking place. The bus stop is at about 200 mtrs. and the bus brings you in 10 -15 minutes to Dubrovnik city. A 24 hours ticket costs 30 kuna (about 2,25 euro).
Each apartment has a living with kitchen, a bedroom and a bathroom, all impeccable clean. We occupied apartment 4 at the rear. The bedroom has a large double bed with an excellent mattress and on both sides a side table, and there is a large linen cupboard with a safe in it. Windows in bedroom and living are very well soundproofed. The living has a sofa bed opposite the TV. The kitchen has all supplies for cooking and has a fridge too. You can have your meal inside or outside on the terrace. There is a perfectly working air-conditioner. The bathroom has a rather roomy shower cabin with also a perfectly working shower. There is plenty of soap and shower gel/shampoo and a lot of towels. A small minor point is the missing of a safety grip at the wall in the shower cabin.
The surroundings of Lapad are ideally suited for walking or having a nice swim. The harbour is at about 200 mtrs. Near the apartment house is a rather good restaurant and a sushi bar. The first (Buono) we visited, the latter we did not. In Buono you can have a decent meal at a very reasonable price. There are several other restaurants in the neighborhood, among them Orsan, which is rather good too. At the entrance of Dubrovnik restaurant Panorama is recommendable, which can not be said of the Kavana – Noci bar: rather expensive and the food is of poor quality. Although Dubrovnik is a very impressive city, we were glad we did not stay inside the wall as the city is very overcrowded.
Apartment Artemis is very recommendable. We booked through Booking paying 75 euro per night, but you can also book through their website.

Stayed here last month with my boyfriend and have no complaints. Firstly Marija was the perfect host along with her husband who collected us from the airport. The apartment was spotless and had everything you needed. The location is in Lapad and I'm so thankful we stayed here rather than the old town! There are great restaurants around, a lovely harbour and lots of coves to sunbathe and swim. I would recommend staying here to anyone!

Everything was excellent! Firstly, when making our booking, Marija responded promptly and acurately to all our inquires. We took the Atlas bus from Dubrovnik Airport and then took the No. 6 bus from the gates of Old Town to the apartment. Apartment is about a 2 minute walk (up a narrow street/walkway, apartment is to the right at the opening/parking area,) from the bus stop just beyond the Hotel Lapad. We showed at bus driver the name and address of Apartments Artemis and he notified us when and where to get off. Inexpensive and fairly simple.

Apartment was clean and spotless. Marija was very helpful, yet not intrusive. Upon our arrival, she provided us with maps and advice; and got us comfortable and well situated. There is much to do in Dubrovnik and Apartment Artemis enhanced our stay. Exactly what we were looking for and expected. An excellent stay, only wish we could have stayed longer...

If we ever get back -- this is where we will stay. Thank you Marjita!

We loved staying in these comfortable apartments.

The owner, Marija, could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful. She regularly went the extra mile to make our stay comfortable.

We would recommend the apartments to anyone wanting to be close to Dubrovnik, with easy access to Gruz and a number number of beaches.

Is this apt in old town? Do they have parking?
Answer from Dan K

No, it's not in the Old Town - it's in the Lapad peninsula which is lovely. There is free parking outside and the bus stop, shops, supermarket are all very close. You can get to the Old Town by bus in about 10-15 minutes.
